As I placed my order this morning for the Apple watch, and extra magnetic charging cord, I wasn't completely surprised at the lack of intelligence in the Apple ordering process. The extra charger will ship immediately even though the watch won't ship until June.
Hello. The charger is useless without the watch. Same thing back with the iPad 1/2/3/air when I ordered those. While I can understand the order fulfillment desire to send out what they can as fast as they can, a little bit of intelligence could simply include a check is if I want all items to ship together.
I've provided this feedback many times to apple over the years but they refuse to adapt to customers desires. Their arrogance blinds them as consumers requests are routinely and repeatedly ignored.
It is the Apple way, or no way.
You shall be assimilated to the Apple way.
We fooled you into thinking Microsoft was the evil empire.
Now it's too late.
So, by your reasoning, I (as a consumer) must recognize that Apple only cares about revenues, not customers.
It is accurate, even if unfortunate.
As a business owner, I would put my customer experience first, ahead of my accounting practices, and adapt my business processes to the market/consumer, rather than force consumers to adapt to my rigid, inflexible business practices. The epitome of arrogance is to make the customer bend to the corporation, rather than meeting customer needs.
I typically order the accessories with the primary product. When I bought my phone, I bought an additional charger too so I'd hve an extra charger.
But you bro up a good point. Now that I know of Apples arrogance, I shouldn't order any accessories until after I receive the main product ... Of course, then they typically run out of accessories and then I'm stuck with just one charger ... Since Apple can't coordinate shipments and can't meet demand, it is clear,y on the consumer to manage the process ... Since Apple can't. Or won't.
