What makes you think this has to be some presidents fault? No one sent an invitation. These people aren't illegal immigrants, they are coming as refugees. The border has more patrols on it than ever. There are more deportations than ever. Homeland security is about out of money. Laws are sitting in the house to fund and deal with it. All the president is doing is enforcing the law. So what is your proposal? Reverse the law,?shoot children and mothers at the border? Lets hear it.
It is going to get interesting. I wonder how they are going to resolve that they passed the action that they are going to sue Obama for. They are headed for the corner and they just keep painting.
Anyone that doesn't know how to spell Sunni or the difference between Arabs and Persians probably shouldn't be commenting on the middle east. Iraq was established in 1932, Saddam came to power in 1958 and changed it from the Kingdom of Iraq to the Republic of Iraq. .
How many times was Carter elected? How many times was Bush I elected. What president resigned from office rather than be removed? What president made us a debtor nation increasing the debt 184%? What was the condition of the nation after 8 years under Bush II? Who effected recovery from what could have been worse than the great depression? Who brought troops home from two wars he didn't start? Who was filibustered by the minority in the senate more times than all other presidents combined? What President presided with the most disfunctional Congress that did the least of any congress ever and still kept government functioning and prospering? What president started the US on the path to universal health care? What president is going to sign the immigration reform bill? (Congress is going to have to do something in the next two years) And what president is it going to be that refuses to keep soldiers engaged in a foreign country after 60 days without a declaration of war from Congress? (Yes, he is going to force them to take a position there too)
He isn't religious, he has posted he was raised in a communist country. Chastising him by religious dogma is of no consequence. He could care less.
Two more things on the supreme court. They have with their last decission removed the separation of church and state and they have removed the protection of the corporate veil which is now going to cause a barrage of new cases based on their new decisions. If corporations are going to be subject to the opinions of owners then the owners can be sued for their actions. If religious opinion is now a justification for not obeying a federal law then separation of church and state is nullified.
Never in 230 years have corporations been considered people before this court. Justices are no longer apolitical but expressing party lines. One Supremes wife is a political activist. Health care votes, equal pay votes show the GOP is against women as equal citizens. The bill passed and signed requires the US to give child refugees a hearing, the hearing determines whether they qualify you can't make that decision until you know. You acknowledge that is true. You lose, your arguments are unsupportable. My facts are correct. If you still want to argue that the senate does it too, that does not make my fact incorrect.
More GOP suicide. They had a chance for 2014 but they are blowing it away every day. Here we sit with a war fomenting in the middle east, a flood or child refuges on our border, a broken supreme court that has gone off the deep end and reversed 200 years of decisions, a GOP war on women, workers receiving 1970 pay and needing a raise in minimum wage and they can do nothing except scream for the president to do something and at the same time threaten to sue him for doing anything on his own. We have international treaties that require us to honor the child refugees, It is The Congresses responsibility to declare war, and any financial bill are suppose to start in the house but they are the most unproductive group of legislators in our history and won't even bring legislation to the floor already passed by the senate and they want the President to "Do Something!! Even while the Obamas ratings are low they are still towering above the House and the GOP leaders.
Saved me the trouble of correcting that ignorance. thanks.
The survey, from the Commonwealth Fund, a research group, came to similar conclusions as other surveys about the expansion of health insurance. It found that about 15 percent of adults younger than 65 now lack health insurance, down from 20 percent before the Affordable Care Act rolled out in January.
What was more surprising is that people who got the new coverage were generally happy with the product. Overall, 73 percent of people who bought health plans and 87 percent of those who signed up for Medicaid said they were somewhat or very satisfied with their new health insurance. Seventy-four percent of newly insured Republicans liked their plans. Even 77 percent of people who had insurance before — including members of the much-publicized group whose plans got canceled last year — were happy with their new coverage.
that is the amount of time the president can take unilateral action in Iraq before the congress has to get off of the dime and either declare war or the troops come home. So you are going to have the House trying to decide for the electorate just before the election whether to send the country to war and provide funding. The only things the troops now there are going to be doing is collecting information on who to help and how. What chance do you think there is that congress will declare war and give Obama clear war powers just before the 2014 election? Really?
He is here in a couple of other guises. You can sometimes tell how many IDs he is using by the number of thumbs up and note who answers his posts. Most don't bother with him anymore.
If they don't have legal family here already there is no chance they get to stay. They will be processed out unless they can show real danger of persecution if they are returned. THe ball is squarely in the House they can repeal the law requiring us to accept these child refuges they passed in 2008 or they can vote on immigration reform or they can provide funds to deal with the problems.
It was not the Obama administration that forced the sale of those entities on BAC. Settlements are being made to avoid even stiffer penalties that might be extracted and the cost of long court defenses. If they did noting wrong then they could let the court decide. Obviously that has not been the case. Poor investigation of credit risks, not vetting mortgage applicants, encouraging false statements are all things that were done that precipitated the meltdown.
I'd say it was Goldman Sachs winning big over a competitor that was about to displace them.
