No, what crashed the AAA rating was GOP Congressmen saying we didn't need to pay our obligations, and taking the nation to the brink of default.
Don't worry about little z, he thinks all funding in the government is one big pocket and that the president can just spend allocated money wherever he wants. He works with the Chinese where that is the case and doesn't understand anything but an autocracy so thinks we have one. He also doesn't understand that costs go up over 10 years, the heavier burden caused by the Bush wars with so many more wounded and the increased expense in care since we can do so much more now or that we are also taking care of Vietnam vets as the age and contract more maladies caused by agent orange or injuries there. Then you have the gulf war syndrome that no one has explained yet from Bush I's excursion. There are also 10,000 job openings at the VA going unfilled. The backlog in screening claims is about two years and has been for decades. Booking with a primary care physician requires a two month lead time and you need one appointment to get sent for lab tests and another to have them evaluated. Problems are particularly bad in communities that have large military populations or large military retirement populations.
And the answer is to just keep doing stupid things? First, quit buying cheap Chinese goods. Quit supporting slave labor and environmental abuse.
You can read his manifesto if you want instead of making assumptions about his parents. Do you know his parents sent the police to his house only weeks before because they were worried about his behavior? Do you know he thought he was an unwanted child that was not aborted? Do a little research before you before you make judgements.
No he was an unplanned unwanted pregnancy that was not aborted according to his manifesto.
In reality blacks make up about the same percentage of the welfare population as whites do. This means that the myth that blacks make up most of the welfare population is not entirely truth. The small amount of truth is that, as a percentage of the population they are weighted more heavily on the statistics. This means that while the percentage is the same, their population within the country is smaller then whites. The difference in population means that there are more blacks on welfare as a percentage of their actual population then there are of whites.Another commonly held myth is that people on welfare have a lot of children or are teenagers. The truth is that over forty percent of welfare recipients only have a single child. The combined percentage of parents with a single child or only two children is well over seventy percent of the welfare population. Teenagers also only make up eight percent of the population, with nearly fifty percent being in their twenties. The general breakdown of racial statistics for welfare programs is ; thirty-eight point eight percent white, thirty-seven point two percent black, seventeen point eight percent Hispanic, two point eight percent Asian and three point four percent other.
You folks seem to come to the most bazar conclusions. Of course simple minds demand simple answers.
Let's see Obamacare is a private sector program with for profit corporations providing insurance. The VA is a military structured government single payer program. The two share nothing in common and conservatives oppose them both. The only conclusion that can be drawn is that those who call themselves conservatives here know nothing about either program and don't care for anyone but themselves.
Obamacare is not a government program dunce. It is a program run by private insurance companies for profit. No wonder the low information crowd is against it. They don't even know what it is.
I am for single payer. The present plan is not that. Medicare is and has been working well for some time. The VA has problems as there are too many recipients for the underfunded system and it has to cater to a select group of people with high rates of injury and illness due to the stresses and exposure of their job. A century of war has not helped the situation. The VA has also become an even more popular alternative to the private system as Insurance rates went up over 150% during the Bush administration and still continue to climb but at a slower rate.
Obamacare regulation may have a lot of pages dealing with subsidies, care requirements, funding and of course the mandate but it is not administered by the government. It is administered by private insurance companies. Even the temporary "navigators" only serve to direct applicants to the companies and programs that fit their needs. Posters here are like the people in Kentucky where the plan rolled out under Obamacare is working well and liked but they don't even understand it is Obamacare.
Then you also have the republican states that refused care for their indigent by not expanding Medicaid leaving their poor to fend for themselves.
Repeal and replace is a dead horse. Don't you think it is about time the house started working to improve the program?
In many cases skills learned as a warrior for the nation do not transfer well to the private sector. Being a good rifleman or tank driver does not mean one has the skills to be a peace officer or a taxi driver. Even the leadership skills honed in the military are not recognized by private industry as the structure of command is different so vets are often relegated to positions far below the responsibilities they had while serving and at lower pay. The truth is that while the public gives lip service to the vets for protecting them on foreign land they care little about hiring them or living under or with the highly structured and regulated thinking found in military culture.
If he had not gone you would be complaining about that. Lets face it. You have blinders in that preclude you from even recognizing all of the accomplishments of this administration both foreign and domestic which are many despite and unwilling and uncooperative Congress. I could point to over three hundred achievements both promised and delivered and you would still snivel.
You can't make steak out of chow mein. His Chinese education makes him unsuited to do anything but bash America and it's institutions. He is supported here by jobs in China. What do you really think his agenda is?
This is BS. I have been able to find a doctor within a day or two anyplace in the USA and never had any trouble with medicare paying for it. Funding has not been stolen from Medicare and while some may find problems with administrators who don't know how to process the paper work it serves well across the nation.
