Good find Savage! That what I thought was going on, I figured they were going for WHO certification.
I'm highly concerned that the company is hiding press releases on important developments by only posting them on the Chinese side of their website.
I'm also concerned at this group of people on this thread that are using Yahoo's message board to spread their coded messages through seeming nonsensical posts and always trying to bury any posts concerning real news
At any rate, very good find as the company has literally been in top secret mode on news since they announced their intended buyout. IMO, Luck Life!
"Routine Pediatric Enterovirus 71 Vaccination in China: a Cost-Effectiveness Analysis"
The article seems to conclude that EV-71 is needed for their vaccination program in China and the costs would be between 192 million US and US $293 million per year.
It also says three companies are making the vaccine..
Doing the math, it is fairly easy to project additional revenue of $64 million to 97.66 million per company assuming that the contract was let 3 ways and divided evenly. The cost per vaccination was estimated to be between US $12.00 to $18.3 per vaccination. Of course this is just a research article, however it seems logical that it may be used to determine price and usage.
Do your own D.D. IMO, Luck., Life
Sinovac was one of the first companies the Chinese government went to for help when H7N9 was announced. (lots of cases already in 2016!) They are approved for clinical if needed on H7N9. Sinovac was a company visited by a joint trip to China by Bill Gates tri to explore promising partner companies a few year back.
A Netherlands company recently has partnered with Sinovac on a polio vaccine. GSK has partnered with them on a measles vaccine. The stock is holding around $6 with virtually no news for 6 months. They have 5 vaccines either in clinical or approved to go to clinical. They have one vaccine EV-71 approved for commercial sales and the company has said this could happen before the end of June 2016. This month. Remember why you own this stock an don't get lulled to sleep by the current lack of news! IMO, Luck, Life
Sinovac has stated in P.R.s that EV-71 will be rolled out commercially by June 30th, 2016. We'll see if he is as good as his word?. I did buy another 1000 at $5.90 yesterday although I wouldn't recommend anyone else doing it unless you know something I .don't! I'm certain everyone knows more then I do as a sucker common shareholder! IMO, Luck, Life.
At this point just watching to see when the news in China changes as I believe SVA is also watching. I feel certain they will get things ironed out rather quickly as you can't let the system shutdown for long. The only way I would be buying would be if all bids to buy the company were dropped and all news was disclosed about EV-71 and the rest of the vaccines. As for selling, I believe that would be a mistake if the buyout was cancelled or not.
Probably a bubble is about to burst in the US market as it becomes more and more clear that expenses, especially infrastructure expenses are climbing a whole lot faster then U.S. salaries and it's only a matter of time and there will be another mortgage and banking collapse. I hope I'm wrong about that! IMO Surf, Luck Life
Like everyone, I'm not happy getting jerked around by not being in the inner loop!
Here is the logic in the situation as I see it currently.
It is clear to me that the heads of SVA knew a couple quarters of rough sailing was ahead when they made the bid of $6.18. They also know the timetable and the expected price for the new EV-71 vaccine and also for the other 5 vaccines on their way to the finish line. They have stated their concerns are to protect the shareholders when they instituted the poison pill.. They have hundreds of people working at the company that are shareholders as well as us that they are protecting.
Thinking as they might, if your stock is going to get pummeled and maybe be bought out on the ultra cheap during the pummel right before you finally realize gains from major revenue growth, what do you do? You do what they did, put in a reasonable bid and stall until the profits start pouring in and the vaccine situation in China get resolved. The trouble is that their concern for shareholders appears to be slightly limited. The other bidding group knows how big the gains will eventually be, so they threw a monkey wrench in the plan with the $7.00 bid so as not to be relieved of their shares on the cheap!
So this is where we are today! Logic at this point says they are going to start selling the EV-71 vaccine with-in weeks. Has the company protected the shareholders? I say yes and no. Yes because the stock will not vary much between $6 and $7 at this point. The poison pill runs out in March 2017 and by that time they will be selling EV-71 in large quantities and also be getting close on polio and pneumonia vaccines.
So at this point, what's the rush! I'm perfectly satisfied keeping the stock in the price range it's in until the top blows off the well and the gusher hits! IMO, Luck, Life
Was the information both of you posted written before the poison pill or after? If before, it is probably trying to get the money for the $7.00 offer. If after, that may be a horse of a different color! Do either of you know when this was written? Also, I see no mention of anything about Sinovac rights in my Scottrade account nor messages or alerts. Maybe it is on hold. Also wouldn't a higher offer have to be disclosed to the shareholders as soon as it was presented unless it was some sort of handshake proposition like, "You show me more money and we'll talk about it"? IMO, Luck Life
