Wow... good stuff. The grammar police is out! Love that. It just goes to show you... you don't need to be a brain surgeon or know how to put a sentence together to make money with ONCY.

Keep up the grammar police. Definitely will be important to actually know how to spell... just in case ONCY doesn't turn out to be all that!

With a runup to $5.76... the time to buy was when it pulled back to $5.25. If you're lookin for the gap between 4.89-4.95... you're going to to be looking for a long time.

Nah... not worth my time or yours. By getting your blood up he gets to feel more important than he is. Not worth our time. Enjoy the wife and the weekend. I'll touch base with you when I come up for air.

    Be well.

You know I am tired of everyone bashing on Homer Simpson! He's a good guy... maybe a little misguided... but he definitely has his heart in the right place!

Now if you were talking about the clown... that would be an entirely different story!

Seriously folks... have a great weekend. Stop pumpin' and trash talkin'. We'll all know alot more in a week. In the mean time go play with your kids this weekend and hug your wife.... and if you don't have either... get a life!

    Enjoy the ride.

Ok... so I didn't read who did the analysis. However... even if it was a student... they have definitely done their homework. Which is more than I can say for a bunch of people around here! That said... if you can find any reports as to why I should NOT invest in ONCY... I would happily read up on that.

After you get to the link... scroll down on the page.

Here was the conclusion of this Duke University report...

    CONCLUSION...

"Activated Ras signaling pathways due to direct mutations in the Ras gene as well as through genetic alterations of upstream pathway elements prove to be some of the most promising areas of gene therapy as a treatment for cancer. The mere fact that reovirus, an oncolytic agent that causes no known human disease, targets cells with such mutations provides hope to the thousands who suffer from this deadly disease. Reovirus is continuing to be examined for its ability to remotely target cancerous cells and tumors in immunodeficient as well as immunocompetent animals. In all the articles I reviewed, reovirus shows promising results as becoming an effective and efficient means of treating cancer. The issue of whether reovirus is a possible cure is still not known. In the near future, scientist hope to examine ways in which reovirus can be used to alter cancerous cells so as to improve the effect of radiation therapy and chemotherapy on cancer. Furthermore, scientists hope to begin reovirus treatment on human beings who are in the later stages of cancer development. If these treatments prove successful, reovirus may very well be one of the greatest medical discoveries in the history of medicine."

I definitely liked what this had to say in the 21st century newsletter....

"Oncolytics' clinical trials are painstaking to a fault; the company clearly wants to leave nothing to chance so that the FDA will have no reason to send it back to the drawing board. Another stock-price hurdle is, strange to say, the company's restraint. Oncolytics refuses to publicize every little move it makes -- and a news vacuum tends to make a stock drift down. Rather than to pump out a breathless press release every week, Oncolytics has chosen to gather all the data it can in various types of clinical trials so it can begin commercializing Reolysin as a front-line treatment, in combination with chemo and radiation, for several different types of cancer, in several delivery methods -- in other words, to concentrate on starting Reolysin off with a bang. It's probably a smart move that will cause the stock to leap once Reolysin is approved, but until then it's frustrating for shareholders."

Patience is a virtue... unless of course you actually have cancer... and then this whole waiting game can be scary and deadly. Let's all just pray that this is the real deal... so that any of our family, friends and even some of us that will wind up having cancer... will be able to get a new lease on life as the result of this reovirus.

I just bought more because you said you were buying more! OK I will stop now and just focus on growing my own company. I have a ton of potential on my own plate that should grow faster than ONCY... so time to hunker down and make it happen.

Are you just retired... do you trade for a living/fun?

  • lifeisveryfunny101 by lifeisveryfunny101 Nov 3, 2005 2:43 PM Flag

Just bought another 500 shares at $4.74. Now have 4,500 shares. Would have bought more... but my cash flow position won't increase significantly for another 30 days. Also don't want to go too far out of my comfort level. I know at these levels that amt of money is still small time for you... but also need to make sure I keep enough funds liquid to run my business.

No extra time actually... my other business stuff is taking off. But if I can make an extra $1,000 plus a day doing this... I cannot ignore it. Just have to balance this with my other work... so that end does not suffer. Always an interesting balance. Need cash flow from work to keep coming in... but you also want your investments to work for you while you're working. And yes, everything including college funds, cribs, food, diapers has taken on a much greater importance!

Oncy is now at $4.68. Tempted to buy another couple of thousand shares... but also need to be more prudent with my risks. Used to just be all my money... but now it's part of the kid's money as well! Ahhhh how my life has changed since we first interacted!

The fact that tests have not been more widespread is at least an initial concern for my doctor/girlfriend/future mother of my child. She is definitely taking a cautious approach until we see more widespread definitive data. I am long and certainly looking forward to seeing more widespread results as well.

I'm long... but those pictures from the neck are from 2002. Would be nice to see more results and images from things that have happened since then. Are there no recent photographs of similar studies that they could have put on their website since 2002???

Good morning Armed... see that your blood pressure has been up around here lately!

Are you holding your shares or buying more at these levels? Debating on whether I should be buying a couple more thousand shares for the new baby that is on the way.

  • lifeisveryfunny101 by lifeisveryfunny101 Nov 2, 2005 9:23 AM Flag

Armed... what's up? Have been swamped on my side of things. Have seen a couple of crazy posts from you... have been wondering if you have been forgetting to take your medication! (just giving you shit). Don't let the turkeys here drag down the important discussion.

Standing strong on my 4,000 shares. Have not gotten trigger happy with anything of late. Business is good and getting better... and the woman has serious morning sickness... so I have been seriously distracted by reality!

That said do you remain optimistic on Nov 14th and beyond? Is this the management that will pull it off. Was definitely impressed by BT in that last conference. Seems like they have turned a more agressive corner in making all this a reality.

Hope all is great with you. Where in the world do you live and where's the next vacation?
