Obviously Netflix isn't 'dead in the water' with their steady growth. I agree their originals aren't stunning. But look at it differently: adding lots of new shows PLUS their library might be enough to secure domination. That strategy is working right now.
Since a huge number have been short since the 30's, I don't they are hurting. They obviously made brilliant trades.
Teacher union and administrator protectionism (read Democratic Party contributors) have thwarted K-12 public education reform and the free market ruining millions of children, but let some car dealers get between me and my electric car . . .
The oil industry doesn't care at this point. Whether Tesla can overcome the anti-free market car dealers is doubtful. Tesla is financial tiny compared to them. Gandhi was assassinated.
You are exactly right looking at the near term gain. People who read the bottom (it was fairly clear) scored. I am less sanguine about Penney's future, but this all about making money - not being 'right.'
You are naive seeing Tesla as a poltical party issue. The franchise issue in Texas, New Jersey etc is pure power politics. Car dealers are a powerful lobby and fundraising source. It has nothing to do with Republicans. In fact, elected reps in both parties are caught between the Car Dealer contributors and their constituents who want free enterprise.
Are you not paying attention? The issue is major capital investment (the first) in battery capacity.
No insight. No analysis. Just nonsense like 'Netflix just authorized new offering' and 'Icahn sells' and "Timber' and 'Shorts eat it.' There's a whole lot of people who need to be voted off the island. I suspect most of them are spending down mom's allowance, wasting their lives, losers. Stocks are so much fun and so incredibly profitable if you challenge your intellect. You are missing the real fun - working your brain and making money from it. Shorts like bagoswags were wrong, but at least they contributed analysis.
I've been in stocks for twenty years, not savvy enough to buy a G650, but successful - jetprop successful. The gamesmanship by the Joe Board was amazing - the best I have ever seen. They got every dollar. They wrote the book on stockholder friendly. Well done!
My goodness you spew hate. It's spring, bud. Enjoy. We are all human beings.
The stock runs from under $6 and longs are screaming 'it's goin' $17' and 'its goin' $30.' Whether JCP has turned around is still an open question. The hysteria isn't. Let's watch what happens at $10 where the previous high imposes resistance.
The old 'they' again. You conspiracy theorists make me chuckle. Are 'they' still hiding the alien from outer space at Wright Patman Air Force Base?
The wolves are howling. The US will get involved? What a ridiculous idea.
It's already fallen a few points. While my Watch List buy price is about the same as yours, I think GE stock price will depend on future earning projections hold up.
Study, my friend, study. The Ukraine is split pro-Russia pro-independence. Nobody wants that hornet's nest - except the Russians who have a vested interest. It has nothing to do with 'democracies around the world respect the rights and wishes of the people.' What empty drivil.
I tend to agree. Also a pure battery car has huge disadvantages compared to the internal combustion-electric combo - weight, cost, space, distance and convenience.
That being said, I'm buying a Tesla. IT IS FAST. When will they offer a loudspeaker option with the Drag Strip noise?
