I am doing all of my gambling right now in Gilead, buying and selling on the volatility. Booked about $20,000 in profit over the past week which will eventually be rolled into more TC. Going to be a bit #$%$ if I end up losing it here but that is unlikely.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Since we are well into Q3 it is shaping up to be even better than Q2. Those are some good realized prices for metals.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Fast forward to today and Exxon is trading some 100% higher, still making a ton of money and paying a hefty dividend. Moral of the story, people hem and haw but eventually pay for what they need.
It could pull back to $79 then move to $100 just like last quarter when it pulled back to $67 then moved to $90.
Or it could only pull back to $88 and then go to $110. My crystal ball is wonky.
ballsy, but hey, it could happen. Pfizer has been on the prowl so much, maybe they offer to buy out Gilead for $150 a share and you make a few million.
Is 500 years a realistic time to hold an investment?
His point was to figure out Gild's price based on other biotech stocks and their fwd PE. Gild is by far the lowest.
Scamazon getting what has been a long time overdue. Perhaps soon stocks that actually make money will find their way back into favor.
I'll tell you what I did and why it is great and hurts at the same time.
When Gilead was in the $60s I bought August $70 calls for $4 and sold them a few days later for $6. Big mistake because they are worth over $20 right now.
When Gilead was in the low $70s I bought Jan 2015 $75 calls and sold an equal number of Jan 2015 $77.50 calls, paying a total of $0.95 per set (called a spread). Those are doing pretty well with Gilead at $90 (the spread is worth about $2.10) but it pains me to see the price the $75 calls have gone up had I just bought them and not done the spread. I think this is greed kicking in as I should be happy with a 150% return.
Funny market eh?
Candy Baby Taking.
$10 per share earnings in 2015 on a $90 stock with a huge pipeline? Yes please.
Apple went above Microsoft's market cap when Apple had 1/3 the sales of Microsoft (this was several years ago, now Apple's is higher). It is all about growth.
