The only news that will come out is a buyout/merger and/or a dividend payout unless another article is written by an analyst. Debt is zero, expense is being paid by lease and interest revenue. NOL carries forward on the books. Another $30 million in revenue and a $1/share special dividend potentially paid out or incorporated in the buyout price. The grand prize is the sell off. As other posters noted, it can take time for the deal to go through the motions. Will have to send an email to Papa Carl and company for the solid strategy play on Enzon.
I agree. I haven't read anything of value from the hyper pumpers and dumpers. It's like they let the zoo and the circus out into the streets. Hopefully they just leave and let this board alone. I'm hanging with Carl and Jim and patiently waiting for the catalyst event. It may take a few weeks or months but I don't care. That's normally how I get my big multiple returns anyway. Bluetrader summed it up well and he's hanging in AVEO also.
It's amazing how CLDN rippled through even the strongest biotech stocks. There will be a strong rebound of the biotech sector the rest of the week.
PE ratio is 2 and change. The lowest I've ever seen for a highly profitable company, especially biotech. May will be a very interesting month.
One employee in the 10K with $34.2 million in revenue. I wish all of my employees produced that kind of revenue, lol.
Do you think that's what caused Enzon stock to be traded over 90 million shares this past week alone? All of Behnhur's pumping? I tend to think what the analysts are saying if you do your research. The huge volume of trading is indicative of an upcoming catalyst. I'm thinking M&A is totally in play especially when the poison pill is active against hostile takeovers. There is a reason the poison pill was voted in last year, don't ya think?
At one point in time this stock was trading above $70 per share with no assets, no revenue and a lot of overhead. Given the measures that the BOD has taken to protect this company and shareholders, I definitely can see this stock trading much higher than where it currently is. Enzon is in a very mature and desirable position because it's technology has been proven in a highly competitive and rapidly expanding worldwide marketplace. Carl, thank you for managing the company's strategy very wisely!
What specifically are you referring to.....page #? I noted the stated options for the directors and interim management as only Part III was amended. I think a more interesting note is that the poison pill adopted last May is firmly in place. I'm sure that with Merck's positive report on Tuesday, Enzon is getting much attention these days. With the company being rich in assets, cash reserves, no debt and the intense competition in the biotech industry that the next few weeks will put Enzon and the stock in major play.
The news should be coming out early next week to give an idea about Merck's strategy. It all looks very positive according to the WSJ report this morning. GLTA - Carl has it in momentum.
Idenix was bought out with basically no revenue and $200 million in cash and equivalents. For $3.85 billion last summer; made Carl, Seth, and me very very happy
according to the Wall Street Journal report this morning. This is a big strike against Gilead's Hep C treatment. Merck bought out Idenix last summer for $3.85 billion. It's going to be an exciting coming week for the Longs.

Awesome! Make sure that you cover before $2.50. That will leave you until Tuesday to fund your account.
Perhaps. But what has that to do with a buyout offer? You might wake up on Monday morning to a huge gain. It happened to me a few times and I had to blink hard several times before I celebrated a winner's breakfast.
