Awesome! Make sure that you cover before $2.50. That will leave you until Tuesday to fund your account.
Perhaps. But what has that to do with a buyout offer? You might wake up on Monday morning to a huge gain. It happened to me a few times and I had to blink hard several times before I celebrated a winner's breakfast.
Shorts will not want to go into this weekend without covering. Watch the run to $2. Uncovered shorts will not get a wink of sleep all weekend. The conference call is approaching!
Dude, you're funny! Merck pays royalties to Enzon in the form of licensing.....that's all! Enzon is clearly for sale and my opinion is that Merck will buy out Enzon within the next few weeks. Watch this stock go from $2 to $10+ within three weeks. The company is still operational in that it collects ALL of the ROYALTY revenue from it's license partners and IS actively NEGOTIATING A BUYOUT!!!
It will be a wonderful weekend indeed.
Watch and learn. Btw, it takers more than $600 million just to get a drug to the marketplace. Only 1 in 10,000 pre-trials actually make it. This is a total cash cow, 1 employee, $34 million in revenue, FDA approved active drug pipeline, NOL benefits......an institutional dream. At least you're not paying for this wisdom lesson (except in lost earnings opportunity)
Merck probably will be the buyout company after the upcoming conference call. The question is if they'll buy all of the IP or just Peg-Intron. That'll be the difference between the stock going to $10/share or a buyout offer of $15 in a couple of weeks. Hang on, the ride will be fun.
Called over to Carl's office. He's been in meetings all day. Carl may be in discussions with other institutional holders about a merge/acquisition strategy. He will definitely want to maximize shareholder payback. Either the quarterly revenues are returned as a $1 dividend or gets lumped in to the overall buyout package. If you bought in under $1 then you are sitting very pretty. Carl will not take a loss on this extremely attractive opportunity. He did the heavy lifting to get the company to a cash cow money maker with great working IP. The noise from the retailers glomming on subsided and the huge volume is indicative of the institutions increasing their holdings to over 65% of the outstanding shares.
It'll be interesting to see the results. Institutions have increased their holdings over the past six months. It's certainly a hedge fund arbitrage strategy. What could be the fair buyout offer price given that it would be a clean sale right out the door?
$3k profit, minus the capital gains tax, minus the $3k in the government property tax pocket, means that you need to find a loss to offset the gains tax or hope to find another stock to poach a quickie. Good luck!
Looks like vltc has had a very nice run over the past year. Enzn will do the same. Go short FNJN, you filthy rodent.
And ACAD has basically no revenue and trading at $38/share. This is a zero debt company with excellent assets and royalties from Merck. Icahn and board turned down low ball offers. We know what we own and the value associated with the assets. Hang on, it's going to be a nice ride up my friend!
36 million shares traded yesterday and it's on track to repeat the same volume today. The pop last year was with a tiny volume therefore it was unsustainable. This time the path is towards double digits.....like ACAD did.
Yes, it'll be a multi-week runner. Daytraders are in/out. The swing traders are in for 4-5 weeks. Should see a nice rise to double digits. This hidden gem is just getting started.
No worries. Just sell it for $1.85 to $2 at tomorrow's opening. Carl has purchased more shares along with other institutional buyers over the past few weeks. Enjoy the ride!
