    Your a bunch of snobs

I don't look at these boards very often, thus I couldn't answer your tax question! I think you're silly to conclude that we are snobs just because no one jumped to respond. Actually, I don't see your tax question here--are you dreaming????

Probably because I sold my shares!! Happens every time... I sold because of worries about Russia and the sanctions, etc. Best to take profits and wait this out, IMO.

    LINE vs LNCO

    by daicheng0722 Mar 13, 2014 12:06 PM linda_mod Mar 24, 2014 3:07 PM Flag

I think LNCO price is lower to reflect the income taxes it pays on the MLP distributions. By doing this they save investors the headache of IRS rules regarding MLP investments (not to mention the state income tax returns). To me it is well worth it. Those K-1's can be a nightmare if you try to prepare your own tax returns.

I'm a buyer now--you must realize investors should NOT buy when the price is high. LNCO is a huge bargain now! Cramer is most interested in quick gains for his followers, but I am a buy and hold type. LNCO's assets are very good and they will recover before this year ends. While waiting, I'll collect high dividends.

    Huge drop

    by ercumenta Dec 27, 2013 10:14 AM linda_mod Feb 24, 2014 1:03 PM Flag

That is why price dropped. I recently experienced a huge drop in another Vanguard fund, only to see it recover within a few days. I called to inquire what the heck happened. My answer was "all funds drop in price on the day dividends and capital gains are paid out." And sure enough: price jumped right back to where it was before and I saw a big increase in the number of shares I owned. Of course this is because I've elected to reinvest ALL gains and dividends.
