in 17 years they will probably still be estimating 17 years left.
It's like Saudi Arabian oil reserves - they always stay the same no matter how much is produced.
just print it off. they are available on line.
I went paperless and only print them online (OK, call it mail-less rather than paperless)
funny, the Alerian MLP index is still within a couple of percent of all time highs.
Funny, if they are all imploding.
Statement is correct. Apparently you have never invested in trusts before.
US trusts cannot create new units. The unit count is fixed from inception through termination. Any 'secondaries' are simply one holder selling to another - makes no fundamental difference to the trust.
The tax booklet is available on their website already.
If you have a printer you can print it - don't need to wait for the mail.
distributions reduce basis,
income in boxes 1-11 increase it,
losses in boxes 1-11 decrease it.
Midstreams like MWE generally tend to produce box 1 losses
If you have zero cost basis you need to pay CG tax on distributions in excess of basis.
You can buy more units if you want to get your basis back positive,
No need to get premium. All versions work the same for MLPs.
Yes, same issue has been there years, I don't think they will ever fix it.
I'm sure they allow it, you just need to be approved.
Which means you need to fill in the form showing that you understand the risks, etc.
No I haven't bothered to look at the report.
I follow so many of these MLPs and trusts that if I read all the reports it would be a full time job. I am still long although harvested some tax losses and re-established my position with a new low cost basis.
