If you are just an investor and not a shopper, you might think that. I am both, I own stock and I shop at WF almost daily. What I can tell you is that I NEVER walk into WalMart, I refuse to contribute to their profits after I (unwillingly) subsidize their payroll. The vast majority of WF shoppers do NOT buy groceries at WM, even if it is cheaper. Secondly, I do check prices and with the exception of Trader's Joe, organic foods at Kroger, Sprouts, Natural Grocers, etc are not any cheaper than WF. Another problem is that none of the other stores have the selection that WF stores have. WF shoppers do not have the time to buy 2 items in each store that has organic items to save $2. WF is still a solid company, they seat on a lot of cash, have high margins than the other grocers and higher growth.
