The fall-winter period is typically one of solid performance for the index itself. Thus, things are pretty ugly on a comparative basis.
In the debate in which Jim Webb participated, I was impressed with him. (Even my Supreme Commander, my wife, liked him.) He's got a heck of a resume and is not a political con man. Ben Carson is a fantastic retired surgeon, but not a sharp politician. I'm not sure about Bush, Rubio or Cruz. However, I have concluded that Cruz is not a whacko like some have painted him to be. I liked how he nailed the CNBC lefistist clowns.
Bernie Sanders is a dyed-in-the-wool socialist. He would do well with some of the younger Karl Marx crowd in New England, but not the general population. Although, I give him credit for one thing: He probably lies less than most candidates do.
Phil, when I started getting Barron's again, it was not for political purposes. IMO, Trump is a space cadet with little chance of being the Republican candidate to run against Mrs. Bill. Evidently, Barron's takes him more seriously than I do and feels a need disagree with him on the cover. That's baloney!
The cover of the Barron's I received this morning proclaims in large size font that "TRUMP is wrong". This is in relation to how Trump wants to deal with China. Gee whiz, is it possible that Barron's is reaching new depths in the world of political "ragdom"? If he saw the cover, Alan Abelson would puke.
If Obama is using the legal argument that asking applicants about criminal histories results in "disparate impact", shame on him. Do you want someone having access to company funds who has a criminal record with armed robbery and/or embezzlement in it?
The Barron's of today is certainly not of the high quality that it was during the Alan Abelson era.
That's a 19.9% increase in two weeks.
McKesson is MCK, not MKN
I remember trading EPD a couple of years ago. In that business, don't they use the term "units" instead of "shares"? I think DocReits mentioned that to me.
Phil, we have Plan F also. It's much more comprehensive than some of the junk out there. The bozos at Af+lac were charging us more in premiums and provided less comprehensive coverage.
kel, you may find United+Health+Care to be pretty good for supplemental coverage. The wife and I are now in our second year with them. AARP recommended them. The wife and I had Af+lac prior to that.........big mistake.
You're right. Things were a lot crummiertoday than the indices would lead someone to conclude. With a rate increase by the Fed most likely being on "hold" for now, I thought that the BDCs and high divy mREITs would do better.
share. This is more than double the figure of last year. So, irrationally the stock is down almost 5%.
