its gross margin declined from 77% to 70%, they
stated that because of higher memory prices but some may
have taken it as competitive pricing. FFIV, I believe
has one of the most expensive boxes out there..
Anyways margins at RDWR were at the 83.9% same as last
    quarter so we are OK.
    LUCENT and expanding sales force
will help us get to higher revenue levels. Hopefully
40% seq. increase in revenues to $7M next quarter.
ACCELERATING GROWTH is the key to a rising price.

  • RDWR will have a tax structure similar to GALT-
Galileo Technology, and CHKP-Checkpoint Software. They
have or had special Isreali Tax Enterprise Status as
RDWR will have, They paid about 5%-15% in taxes in the
    past.
This will make their EPS higher than a traditional
firm. Look at it this way, If 2 companies both have pre
    tax income of $5M.
Say one is in a 40% bracket and
RDWR in a 15% bracket, Company 1 has net of $3M and
RDWR $4.25M. Thus net is about 30% plus higher and so
    is the stock multiple.

    This is a simplified
example but you get the Idea..

    Did you see who is
    a director of RDWR..

    AVIGDOR something- The
    CEO of Galileo

    Here comes the downward Sunami

  • These guys look at hundreds of deals and hand
pick their investments only where they expect a huge
market. The key here is digital content delivery over
broadband.. Also, they own their content as other must
license. Kleiner, Gateway, Cinar (Educational SW),
Microsoft, Cox Communications, and Accel Partners are all
    behind this deal..

    Education is 2nd largest
market behind healthcare according to prospectus.

Their software is all high margin product so that goes
straight to the bottom line. They look like they have a
good start (1st Mover Advantage), as they have been in
development for several years where many companies only
    recently embraced an internet strategy.

    Could they
become the Yahoo of Education? They partner with Yahoo
to develop free websites for classrooms and parents.
KLEINER will help push deals with YAHOO and other KLEINER
    companies to increase the value.

It is 2:15 and Warburg is holding the ask
    at
54 or so. What this tells me is that they will price
secondary today at that range. Probably no institutional
    buyers at higher levels.

Just a guess but I have
    seen it done before.

They have trials in Colombia, Hong Kong, &
Russia. I believe they are close to profitability and in
the fastest growing telecom market in the world. THey
have been in China for a few years so they know how
things get done through the political system. Their

revenue growth was 148% last quarter, with revenues at
    $62.8M, trailing 12-month revenues of $187.5M. I expect
revenues to grow at least to $275M next year. My estimates
will probably be higher than analysts from the street.
I think the stock could trade to over $100 very
shortly on some hype and news like:

    1) China
admitted into World Trade Org. that Clinton is lobbying
    hard for.
    2) Unannounced blockbuster
    partnerships.
    3) Product enhancements to their all optical

    telecom switches.
    4) These guys did about $100MM in
sales last year so they really aren't a small
    company.
    5) Major presence in wireless deployment already
    with equipment base already installed.

    Good
    Luck

  • CS First Boston has rocked this stock higher.
Merryl Lynch had/is having a TELECOM conference today and I believe yesterday which might attribute to the strength to $53

Difference between bucket of shit and..

I can't remember where I saw it but NGEN acquired
a small company owned by TINA NOVA's
    husband, I
think it was burried somwhere in an SEC document, I
believe it was Graviton but am not sure. Can someone
    clarify that also...

    Also, how about the non
medical product developments like storage, wireless, and
PHOTONICS. Yes I said PHOTONICS. That was also buried in SEC
    reports..

NGEN is a great company (let's hope) but has the WORST
PR in the business. HYSQ came out and cleared up the
Clinton mess the very same day, granted it didn't do much
for the stock but I would have felt better.

    As
for the stock decline, Lehman and Warburg and
institutions kept stock down as some of their clients dumped
shares for portfolio window dressing. Lehman and Warburg
kept stock down purposely so weak hand would dump
which was evident. AFFX is up $30 and we are down $10.
that is what market makers are capable of.
    I
purchased my first shares on a similar situation when an
institution dumped a block of 100,000 at $3.00 (it was down
$2.00 that day)to Morgan Stanley, this was at year end
after the IPO and it spiked up 3 days later.
institutions sell at wierd times and this is one of
    them.

    Anyways, about GRAVITON. Responses appreciated

  • The private placement was described in the
prospectus. It should really not be news to anyone, the
weakness in the stock was caused by all previous buyers.
Besides the IPO shares at $21, there can't be anyone who
is sitting on a gain in this stock except for bottom
fishers today below $23. Also I believe money managers
wanted to lock in some gains in the $30's and above and
used this market weakness as an excuse to knock out
the position from their portfolios. I would expect
price targets of at least $65.

Serious buyout candidate at these levels . Mkt
cap at $5.50 is about $145MM or so. All the money
they are spending to establish strong presence. Many
companies overspend prior to an acquisition as to prepare
product development so when the company is acquired the
excessive development expenses don't show up on the on the
income line and are out of whack with the operating
    model of the buying company.
    CNQR spending on R&D is
about as much as revenues this last quarter. Would
NORTEL consider buying them. I know they bought Clarify
for customer service. Would they consider CNQR, Would
they integrate product into something that they
    already have?

    Anybody

  • This company will probably puke this quarter with
no rozy oulook for Q4. IP load balancing solutions
are being added on for almost nothing to switch
products thus putting FFIV out of the loop. Also who is
going to pay $10,000-$30,000 for a load balancer when
    MSFT Datacenter is much chaeper.

  • Yahoo numbers and cloudy outlook will hurt all
internet companies. Yahoo the king of all that is internet
will be lucky to grow revenues and earnings 50% next
year. Which means welcome to the age of rational price
valuations for companies. As for HOMESTORE, the hype behind
this company created by analysts goes to show what can
happen to investors who don't research their own
investments. This site will go the way of ABTL, AWEB. Same
rational, help consumers make informed decisions regarding
the purchase of a large ticket item such as a car or
home. I use the site all the time and you know what,
they don't see a dime of my money. The hype is gone
there is NO WAY this company can grow revenues 50% in
the years to come. As for the streets estimates of
$0.34, Expect them to get slashed. They can be
profitable but what does that mean for its valuation?
TROUBLE. This company is not worth $2.0B which includes
their stupid purchase of $600-$700M purchase of
move.com. THE STOCK HAS BEEN VERY WEEK THESE LAST FEW DAYS
WHICH COULD SPELL TROUBLE. That is my opinion so take
it with a grain of salt

  • At what time are they presentinting today? Does anybody know?
