An enviromentalist was on the news program this morning talking about the electric car and how much damage it does to the enviroment. He said it was a waste at this time. It just may find its niche in 20 to 30 years. BO's push for the green car is a dismal failure. Even with the 7,500 tax credit. A real sucker purchase.

Ted Cruz said in simple words that there are many idiots in congress. They have all taken an oath to uphold the constitution of the U.S. Most of them have no idea what it says.
The constitution is THE document that guarantees the rights of all of the citizens. The idiots for years have been eroding our moral, legal and constitutional rights. It is time to get the Federal gov't out of those areas they have no business being in. Return the rights back to the states that belong to the states. If they do that the federal gov't will have so much money coming in the nat'l debt could be paid off in quick time.

Market is up because Uncle Ben Bernanke is printing 85 billion dollars of new money each month. Everything BO does or has done is a detriment to the mkt.
For a country leader this man should be run out of the country.
The man is so fearful for his life he has a 'food taster' before he eats anything he has not prepared. This is a pure sign of a mental disorder or knowing the world is against you for you behavior. I go with the mental disorder.

This president and his idiot congressmen followers are h-ll bent on wasting our hard earned tax dollars. Just look at the idiotic programs they have passed. Look at the bail outs. Look at subsidies. Look at foreign aid to countries that hate us. Look at Middle East and war. Look at EPA. Look at Dept of Ed. Look at commerce. Look at . . . .
Spend your money but don't waste it.

What idiots. Why make a big deal out of global warming. Through out earth history, the earth warms up and it then cools down. It goes through cycles. Plus the atmosphere changes its chemical content also. High CO2, then high O2, then high. . . . etc.
People should worry about many other things: asteriods; sun spots; moon falling out of orbit; disease; war; over population; starvation; heaven; God-no God; hell-devil-no devil; etc etc and etc.

N. Korea threatens a pre-emptive nuclear strike on the U.S. This is an act of war. U.S. would be justified today to rain enough a bombs on N. Korea to eliminate their entire military complexes and gov't.
N. Korea's behavior is an example of a gov't run by nuts.

Of course not. He is putting up a missile defense on the west coast and he will send Kerry to N. Korea to plead with them not to fire a rocket towards us. He will give N. Korea $5 billion dollars if they pull back their nuclear program.

Food stamps in a lot of cases are abused. A near relative raised his 2 big dogs on human food by food stamps. Another near relative sells her $300 of food stamps for $150 cash. She is also a part time prostitute. To look at her she has a lot of money coming in.

Dollar wise banning the death penalty is smart. Life in prison without hopes of parole. Each death penalty prisoner costs the tax payer upward of $20 million dollars up to the time of execution. Keep him for life at a cost of about $2 million dollars.
The death sentence if not applied immediately just costs too much......

You have a point. Get laid off at age 55 and almost impossible to get another job. But, SS was set up to take care of 'old' people. If you were smart and the gov't got out of the retirement business and let people save for their own retirement you would have a heck of a lot more than what SS pays.
Get someone to compute your worth if you had just invested your's and the employers SS contribution into GE for the past 45 years. It will shock you. Even with the big drop of GE pps the past 3 or 4 years. (45 years about how long most contribute into SS)

Think about it. SS is all screwed up. In 1935 it was passed as a safety net for old folks. Ready. Old folks are those that are alive 4 years after their life expectancy. In 1935 life expectancy was 61 years and if you lived to be 65 then you would draw SS benefits. Congress has not made any corrections in the SS law to speak of. To day life expectancy is 81 but you can start drawing benefits at age 62. So to be logical SS benefits today should start when you are 85, maybe early benefits at age 82.
Actually if an 18 year old person today started his own retirement plan putting in the total amt that he and the employer pay into SS at age 65 he would have a monthly pension of about 5,000/month instead of the SS payment of about 1,500/month. Plus he would leave his heirs about $500,000/ Think about it.
Gov't programs do need to be changed.
