  • Having been in and out of this stock the last few years, here is my best assessment:

    -10/13 - FDA Approval - up around 20%
    -midday starts to regress
-Uninformed people start spreading rumors that the FDA Approval tests for Ebola, which it most certainly does not and people start pumping the stock everywhere.
-10/14 - people realize this has nothing to do with Ebola in the foreseeable future (and most likely ever) and they start to jump ship leading to today's large decline.

This is still a very troubled company. Potential for a buyout with upside, but while the technology appears good, execution has been poor. If there is no buyout then a secondary will be required in the coming months, further diluting existing shares. I believe this stock has some potential, but what has been going on the last few days is just too far removed from reality.

There is no Ebola play here. The system does not detect for Ebola. I guess there is a potential that they could use it in the future for Ebola detection, but the company has never stated that they are even looking into the possibility, which means we are most likely well over a year a way before an application could even get submitted to the FDA for approval.

Absolutely correct. Those are pumpers, they will be gone once this flurry is over.

Not sure either. It's hard to value everything going on here right now. They definitely need another secondary or a "strategic alternative". I have been following this stock along time and this is the most confused I have been yet. Pared down my position by 1/3 today (down from PP, but not too much after the big jump).

Not too many tests in awaiting approval and management hasn't proven they can sell the system/tests with enough volume to break even. Great product, but lots of question marks out there - we really need to see figures from the current quarter to get a better idea of NSPHs future. Proceed with caution and good luck.
