I cannot even tell you who the closest competitor is for Taser...DGLY is imo a flash from Ferguson, GPRO altogether different imo, and the numbers today illustrate success at beating out competitors in major departments across the world. We are in for a ride - have fun!
but his public sharing of his sexual orientation, and opinion on God's "gifting" of his gay status, IS news to you - and others, including shareholders, consumers, etc.
yep - as CEO, you have a lot of people/shareholders relying on your speaking responsibly, even if you think you're right.
I particularly enjoyed the international sales increase...and margin improvement comments. THAT, imo, is where the VALUE FOR SHAREHOLDERS is increased, and we'll see it in PPS imo. Good luck to all!
may tick a LOT of people off...bringing sexuality AND religion into the "Apple CEO is gay interview". Not impressed with judgement on this issue. Surely, he consulted with the BoD before involving Apple in the interview - did they approve of his mention of the company? If he did not consult, should he have?
moving up today, $20 soon. International sales up almost 50%. Margin improvement due to increase in sales.
oh, and MARGIN IMPROVEMENT...oh, and REVENUE BEAT...oh, and INTERNATIONAL SALES UP ALMOST 50%...so, you were saying?
Reports Q3 (Sep) earnings of $0.14 per share, $0.04 better than the Capital IQ Consensus Estimate of $0.10; revenues rose 25.9% year/year to $44.3 mln vs the $39.6 mln consensus. The increase in revenue was primarily driven by total law enforcement weapon handle sales which increased $6.9 million in the third quarter compared to third quarter of the prior year. International sales were $6.7 million in the quarter an increase of $3.0 million compared to the prior year third quarter.
Gross margin in the third quarter of 2014 was 64.7%, compared to 62.8% in the same period last year. The improvement in gross margin in the third quarter of 2014 was driven by the 26.0% increase in net sales which resulted in better leverage of manufacturing overhead expenses and higher average selling prices
only because he mentioned Apple...and insinuated employees have no problem with it. doesn't he know in the workplace, you better NOT have a problem with it? after all, he IS a "CEO" - doesn't he know proper HR policy.
who cares if you're christian? btw, isn't it "Christian", or do you not consider it a proper name? just curious...
didn't Apple used to have a "rainbow" apple logo...? may go retro after this announcement...
not so sure...imo, he's using his status as Apple CEO to advance a personal agenda; not imo the best use of his "executive soapbox", when he could be discussing advances in technology, Apple's battle with Android, leaking of new phone designs, Apple's use of outsourced labor, partnerships in social media, philanthropic pursuits by the company, etc. This was not in the company's best interest, but I guess he felt it necessary...I agree with others it is a selfish announcement - regardless of whether he had the "right" to make it. Could have held onto it for his memoirs...
