Blippar continues to gain traction as a brand activation tool in the AR space and recently secured $45M in funding to support growth initiatives, One of them is to change the world of search. For those more technical than I am on this board wondering if someone can help my understand in layman terms, how Blippar is going to deliver on its promise in April with their new app update to provide visual search capabilities via the Blippar app on all movies, music, books ( fiction) and US Based sports teams to start. I know it is based on image recognition and they reference using "physical markers"... but i am still trying to wrap my head around this. That is a lot of items. Still believe that watermarking is a better technology than AR but blippar is much better at building a brand and a movement ( blip) than DMRC.. That is why Shazam is so meaningful... it creates an immediate audience of 200 m dowloaded apps that can create scale and solve the current issue which is you need an app to unlock the activation and most people don't want to take that next step, especially if you need to first download the new app, i.e Blippar. Shazam already has broad penetration so you avoid this hurdle. I want to hear more about the Qualcom partnership because if we can get the image detection at the chip level as opposed to via App that is a GAMECHANGER.. now everyone with a phone and a camera is immediately good to go.. its coming folks...

tip of the iceberg... wait until it is on the actual can... its coming! they are in discussions with MULTIPLE tier 1 package goods companies as we speak and by years end you will see Global and National Consumer marketing campaigns utilizing the watermark technology on both primary and secondary packaging with Shazam serving as the engagement platform.....Everyone is looking for retail adoption to be the catalyst but it will happen in the CPG world much faster.... they will ultimately demand that retailers have the right scanner technology to support this shift... all coming together.. albeit perhaps slower than the quick money investors would hope...

My ears work in the consumer packaged goods world and it is very very encouraging. The link up with Shazam has created a huge ready made consumer platform for brands to interact directly with a very large market that is mobile centric

oh ya.... Kraft is also a major partner of SGS, who after this morning are now part of the HJ Heinz company....as an investor it is sometimes painful in the ST to be ahead of where the business is going but in this situation our LT rewards will more than make up for it.... retailers will not need to drag brands into conversion, it will be driven by the Major consumer packaged goods companies .... that is what you call the perfect STORM..

NEPT issues a headline " USPTO offers positive opinion".... ENZY on the other hand goes with " ENZY reports a decision of the USPTO"... that tells you what you need to know.. do you think if it was genuinely positive they would not indicate this in the headline, like NEPT. They can't because it is not FACTUAL. I do have a question for simp.... ENZY seems to be holding out hope for the ex part re-examination that they say was stayed until the outcome of the appeal but was positive for them in that USPTO rejected all claims" .. is this double speak.. wishful thinking or is their some truth to this position.. not sure i understand where they are coming from on this.... either way, they will appeal and drag out for as long as possible which may explain the price action more than anything... of oourse they are...and all others will follow....the brand conversation is about to be taken directly to the consumer via packaging...do you have any idea how much more efficient and effective this is going to be vs traditional forms of advertising in a highly fragmented world....it will happen faster than retailer adoption in my opinion.....

What I find most interesting and to be honest, most exciting, is that to date most if not all of the early excitement and discussion around the DMRC IP and the barcode technology specifically has been focused on the retailer and the benefits that come to them from increased check-out efficiency, reduced manpower & improved customer service which on their own are a very BIG deal. With smartphone penetration almost becoming ubiquitous it is my BELIEF that the BIGGER opportunity lies not here but with the evolution of brand packaging and the role it will play moving forward in controlling the conversation with consumers. Through Watermarking and the Discover platform we offer a fully immersive solution that allows brands to deliver more relevant and actionable information directly to their consumer at the most important part of the purchase cycle, when buying decisions are being made and I believe this is quickly becoming one of THE most important parts of an overall brands marketing mix. Packaging now has the ability to do so much more than brands ever thought possible and companies like Proctor & Gamble, etc will be quick to capitalize on this. It is not a coincidence that SGS does all of the packaging for P&G globally and recently become a certified service partner for DMRC. We talk a lot about Retailers needing to gain a foothold to help dictate their packaging standards to help speed up the Barcode packaging conversion but it would not surprise me at all if a major CPG announced their intent to adopt " digital packaging" to help expedite things. I actually think they need it more than the retailers and as much as we get excited about anticipating a Walmart implementation, I would happily accept P&G as a consolation prize. Crazy how much opportunity and open run way is ahead of us. Food for Thought!

Both companies claimed victory today in their press release...obviously both can't be right.. Stock price action today suggests it might not be as obvious that NEPT was the winner...time will tell....

notice how the volume disappears when they stop trading amongst themselves...working hard now to to keep it range bound IMO... 100 share asks consistently priced "under" the last bid.... predictable... the run up will be as quick as the push down...GLTA

True.. but the sudden volume surge and price action over the last 48 hours certainly gave the retail investor time to follow the herd if they were so willing... not like it wasn't transparent

i wonder if the revenue contribution follows the same split?.. or do adults "manage" it differently therefore index less as a % of revenue...... i imagine kids are diligent therefore higher revenue, adults, not so much?

i read on another MB that it represents less than 10% of current advair sales.... not sure if that is factual or not... one thing is certain.. the price movement will tell the story

Any idea what % of the advair business is under 18... The split will likely dictate how the market reacts to this vote...

only bought half and have a very tight stop on it... it is good to be cautious on this one... valuation is still very high relative to revenues / lack of profits and uncertain future.... it looks attractive relative to peers and relative to previous valuation but that means if the entire sector is over-valued.... opportunity vs reality...
