not to mention the high short interest alone is enough to move it up to 20. seems to be the trend for now. trying to force the short squeezes
just the currency issue most likely. i think a bit of restructuring would help the long term prospects of the company. why not spin 20% to get some cash to reinvest in the struggling parts of the company. i like the idea, sony is worth more when you do a sum of the parts.
its up 200% in one year, is that correct? that is something to be cautious about. although suburu is doing great and if the yen keeps going lower it should be ok. the yen reversal will take down the stock, i think. i'd like to get in due to suburu but the low trading volume and risk with the yen keeps me from buying.
you seem to have done your homework. out of these three insurers which do you like the best? RDN, MTG or MBIA?
first solar did the same trick and waited till their analyst day last quarter. that worked out pretty well for fslr shareholders.
so the real question is, are you getting back in down here at 74? lots of people take short term profits and never get back to a winning stock, thus, losing in the longer run. i know, i've done it too many times to mention.
the market is just irrational and unpredictible in the short term anymore. although, mpc did go from 60 to 90 in short order. retracing 50% of that gain. i think it will hold at 50% retracement and gradually move back up. it would have helped to raise the dividend.
didnt sell half &glad. good report. will grind higher. lots of cash and good strategies. they should spinoff speedway, like valero is spinning off their retail.
