the business of buying/developing and delivering content is not maturing, it's just changing. and I'm betting Iger and company are on top of it. what I worry about is after Iger retires. Will the next person be as good as he is.
I guess its just the difference in software on each trading platform. scottrade beating the others on this one.
shows the number of shares purchased but the money hasn't been taken out of the account yet. no balance shown and the increase from where i limit bought it and trading now is not shown. i'm just holding anyway so it'll get caught up in due time.
maybe it has something to do with the settlement date of 7/21 which is tomorrow. mine is also still pyplv with schwab. but i had ebay shares in one of my accounts and that split is good.
that's interesting. I bought with a limit order and it acted just like braincandy62's did. maybe the limit orders don't get executed until there is a real price on Monday. ?? anyone know why amarket order might be treated differently?? we've been trying to understand how this all works. never bought when issued shares before.
those call option buyers are probably why its going above 11 in the short term. they''re better traders than us little guys. no offense, but the little guy can't beat the big guy short term. long term yes.
It's going to take some new thinking and risk taking. they should be taken private so they can regroup and come out a better company. It's hard to believe no one has done that yet.
how dumb was the rejection of coty's buyout a couple years ago. if anyone is still left on the board from that decision, we're doomed. heads stuck in the mud and can't get out.
I don' think we can blame this oil downturn on OPEC for once. excess supply from shale, solar chipping away, nat gas replacing oil, energy efficiency, etc. it all adds up to too much supply for a lessening demand. i'm long KEG and I hope they rightsize themselves for the future. but the market is the market.
AVP is so against putting their goods in stores because it would hurt their workforce. Why not slowly introduce avon into the store and give a little profit sharing to the workforce to compensate? they need to get in the stores.
yes, I believe that's true. I think what a lot of people are confused about, including myself, is what the opening price will be once the actual split occurs. I'm thinking the answer is whatever the market will bear. there is no guarantee that if you buy at 38 today that the pps will still be 38 on Monday's opening.
thank you. I like all of the strategic moves the company is making but I think the stock price movement indicates risk with Yosprala approval.
