Welcome to Wall Street and start up bios. There is nothing strange here, and it is very normal for a start up bio like Insmed. They are all manipulated like this and the company can do nothing about it. It will be like this until the company starts generating revenue from a product.
It's absurd I know. The company is not generating any revenue and the R&D expenses are out of sight because of 2 Phase III trials and another Phase II. Yet they get clobbered because the loss is higher than last 4thQ. and revenue is down. DAH, I guess these high priced Wall Street types don't know much about a start up do they? I can't wait to see what Zack's computers write, it may be very entertaining.
A hostile bid has consequences. If the workers feel they have been wronged and management supports that feeling and they all decide to walk. Well then the buyer has a problem because the talent is gone and there is no one to assist in the conversion. At best a great deal of lost time and you know things will fall through the cracks. Not the best for anyone.
You are not going to catch the shorts and I think yesterday was a result of a poor financial report that people took the wrong way. Like did anyone expect a profit? JMO
With Quilty now leaving the BOD I am surprised the SP is down so much. Then again, why would I be surprised at that. I guess he might have disagreed on his replacement, who knows. Anyhow, my guess will be his consulting contract is gone as well and the new CEO will be looking at all senior management. Could get interesting.
I don't understand. Sounds like your back to thinking the SP could go to $100 again, but you said "I would sell at $20 in a heart beat" . I understand taking some profits, but your heartbeat post implied you would sell everything.
If you have as many shares as you say, and you have been here for years, as most of us have then you know the SP is going much much higher. Even a buyout would be much higher than $20. Why sell at $20?
Modi has sold most of his holdings and they would still be considered shares held by insiders any how. Singhvi I don't know, but I would think he has sold most of what he had. and I am sure all his options are gone.
Horcents, that is amazing. Why could they have done that in the past, Not a question, just a statement.
I emailed them when the word was out that sites were recruiting for elderly RSV. I was willing to volunteer, but never received a response. I even called one of the sites and was told they are recruiting for NVAX but it was an out of state site so they could not do anything for me. Maybe IR has now received the memo.
Has this board turned into the Insmed board? Everyone attacking everyone else, time for everyone to grow up. wily and birdy should put the other on ignore and move on. At least for a couple of days.
There is too much good information written here, and both contribute, for this bickering. Time to get back to NVAX.
Great, now scientists have managed to expand the Zika threat by infecting other mosquitoes. Hope after doing so they destroyed the pests.
Good find birdy.
This Terry obsession is absurd. Maybe the best thing that could happen is Insmed gets sold, this board disappears and everyone goes on their merry way.
bio, red thumbs down I believe are positive indicators. It means the post has struck a nerve with those that don't want anyone to know what the truth is, or want to keep people in the dark. They want your shares as cheaply as they can. They are fully aware of what the company has and will do anything to get your money.
I think the first thing is the partnership and that could happen quickly. Then trial results but a buy out may be a long time away. JMO
I have no intention of selling any shares now or at $20. This is going much higher than that.
I think that he believes the SP can not go over $9+ until 2023 by agreement. I just wrote an agreement that says the SP can not go below $50 after June 1, 2016. . Which do you think will occur in a free market where the buyers and sellers are the ones that control the SP? I mean, if someone tells me they will buy all my shares for $75 I will sell. I don't need no stinking agreement.
These shares can not be retail. No retail investor can possibly put that much money too risk. These are Institutions and/or hedge funds hedging against long shares they already own. They win either way. That, or they are naked which we all know is illegal. Now who would do that?
