Alright, save me the time going through the transcripts - please confirm / comment on the following somebody
1) New $1B buy back ? True/False
2) Any Comments on whereabouts of Maxwell
3) Same for Logan
4) Same for Parker/64Bits
The rest were confirmed.
Based on NonGAAP it's was an easy beat of 6c - good job. I am surprised by the top line which I felt should have come in a little higher. Perhaps the AMD 290X pre announcement froze some GPU buying decisions.
Q4 forecast is not as bad as what could have been - they managed to hold it steady despite a substantial 30% GPU ASP decrease. This means that a large uptick in revenue of CPC, Grid and or Tegra to the tune of more than $150m in Q4. This bodes well going into 2014 when a complete refresh of GPU-Maxwell as well as a competitive new Tegra family and LTE finally released together with Grid going into full blown deployment world wide. Nothing can hold this from hitting $20 in 2014 and possibly even $30 before year end next year and if we are lucky by the summer!
And don't turn it on in the Summer - it might burn down the Mobile park, or make sure you install air conditioning in your Mobile home before you play it.
Make sure you out on your ear muffs when you play - the roar from the fans might deafen you.
Did you see the part about "Plug N Play" with a whole slew of peripherals - unlike most Android or iOS - Printers, Can even read your old External Hard Drive that is the most important backwards compatibility! Even your old Logitech Wireless mouse/KB!
"Timely Android Updates" - this is crappiest deal on Android platforms. It's so #$%$ that the creator of Android couldn't even get it right on their own Nexus devices for months after the release! Compare that to the Win8.1 update on the Surface 1 - there was a small installation glitch which was taken care of in a matter of 2 to 3 weeks.
Now if Google is clueless - Sammy and the rest of the guys are outright ripping users off - don't expect more than a max of 2 updates on your Android OS - infact many Android manufacturers provide only one update and then it's obsolete.
So - Nvidia taking over this process is HUGE for customers - I hope customers will realize this quickly. Their PC background would most likely enable them to do a better job of it then Google on Nexus. This is a very good reason to buy NV branded Androids rather than any of the other big names.
Q3 is an easy beat. It's Q4 that may be tough due to Retail GPU ASP compression.
They need to announce release of Logan and if possible T4i as well now to generate momentum going into 2014 and regain credibility. And then at CES to demo Parker with a Fall release. If they did that - all will be forgiven :)
T4, T3 continues to be offered as a lower end product.
After seeing this - I want one - two - three :)
Ore prices going up is a huge positive for SID - A large % of their income comes from exporting Ore as well.
Thanks for the snippet on the Brazilian Infrastructure push - cool!
One of the few time I didn't bother checking on the author - not that they are much different from one another anyways. I wasted 15 secs of my time scanning through it and figuring the stupidity and more time summarizing it here.
1) Microsoft had declared Windows Phone will be an ARM only platform which will share a common platform with the "RT" ARM tablets. That is why Windows on ARM is here to stay! The only way X86 can play on Win Phone is another emulation effort - I think one emulation effort is already hard enough.
2) For the Win Phone Microsoft limits it to only QC that they want to work with until there is enough traction - they said that very clearly way back when. A wannabe technical writer in this space not knowing that? For the same reasons there are only 2 WinArm Tablet partners and Microsoft picked NV knowing that they can deliver on that a lot better than QC - for the same reason they chose QC for Phone since they have the complete solution today.
5x More on 1st 3 days ? iPAd Air vs iPad 4
The funny - "the Air’s initial buyers could be using it more due its lighter weight" These PEOPLE are getting funnier as they try to explain away the successes of the 5S, 5C and now the IPad Air and soon the min.
Initial use of the Air is tracking 5x higher than the iPad 4
Fiksu monitors millions of iPads using its apps. Over the weekend it measured iPad Air’s usage reaching 0.71% of active iPads vs. 0.14% for the iPad 4 (5x higher) and 0.21% for the iPad Mini (over 3x higher). Even when the iPad 4 and Mini are combined the Air saw twice as much usage.
While usage ratios don’t necessarily translate to sales since the Air’s initial buyers could be using it more due its lighter weight (I compared it to my iPad 3 this weekend and there is a significant difference) it does look like the Air is off to a good start.
POST IT! Instead posting the same stupid thing over again!
This is taken directly from the Apple Ipad Air Website
"The new iPad Air is unbelievably thin and light. And yet it’s so much more powerful and capable. With the A7 chip, advanced wireless, and great apps for productivity and creativity — all beautifully integrated with iOS 7 — iPad Air lets you do more than you ever imagined. In more places than you ever imagined."
Is A7 = Nvidia??? Less
And they would go from loosing market share big time end of the world reports to gaining triple digits market share this qtr. What idiotic research firms and analysts.
Of course he is wrong and clueless. He wants people to put money in the Eastern Block emerging economies :). What a looser and a fraud. SID had more than proven itself this last 6 mths when even Zacks was forecasting doom and gloom when things were out of whack at SID.
