Belviq sales up 8.5% week ending 2/28/2014, sales of Qsymia down 2.6% week ending 2.28.2014 not exactly sure how that is a disappointment.
All I can say is I would have done things a lot different and I think I would have had more success.... I am a turnaround guy so I am used to coming into a bad situation and getting things moving quickly.... But in the past I have stated this and gotten a backlash from fellow longs... It is nice to see that someone else was not happy as well. We are doing great at this point and we are seeing Belviq take market share...
Here is the thinking. Shorts are dedicated buyers which is why the mystic short squeeze is always hoped and wished for. A short squeeze is when the price goes up so fast and so high that all shorts become committed buyers at any price. Eventually their B/D will buy the stock to close the position at any price. A real feeding frenzy and can be very destructive to the shorts when longs refuse to sell any of their shares at any price. Go look at Volkswagen short squeeze... wiped out billions for short sellers.
VVUS longs have lost their minds. When they saw Symphony numbers showing Belviq up over 8.5% last week and Qsymia down 2.6% they are going nuts. I think they really believe coming over here and spreading their misery will have an influence on their stock price or ours. It is really sad, instead of doing this they should sell their VVUS and buy ARNA while the price is down. 6 months from today they will wish they had purchased ARNA shares..
Short interest is out tomorrow, so that will give us some insight into the big picture. I hope the number went back up going into the last 2 weeks of script growth and the upcoming TV ads...
Basing here won't help your beloved VVUS investment. Also people with a real brain don't agree with you or the CR story, and they approved the drug for sale in the US as a weight loss drug. The first approved in 13 years....
What is it you want him to do? Arena has sold off the marketing rights to the entire world minus a couple left that are probably in negotiations... Nothing else for him to do in regards to Belviq, now they move the pipeline and the technology forward...
Clearly someone was not happy with his results and just over 8 months into the launch of a lifetime he gets the boot into early retirement. I think this will be a good move.
I went back and read many of your posts, you really don't bring anything of value to this board. So I would expect facts and real issues fall on your deaf ears and your challenged intellect... Just because the volume is low and I point that out does not mean I am a day trader and if you knew how to read and do DD you would see I am a long and have been for a very long time.
I am hoping the shorts raid it one more time and I will put on my core position again about 10,000 shares hopefully in the area of 2.90-3.10 but I will watch the action. That will give me 2 more trading positions to average down or up on..
Heading off the "It is now April 2, and we have not seen any TV ads yet" that will come out if we don't see ads on April 1 or 2...
I will listen to it when it is posted up on the web site, but from the MB I see they have stated the company is not for sale... and that they feel they will be cash flow positive be the end of this year. Great things happening if they can execute..
Missed the CC, but I am following the stock. Did you listen to the CC?
Ya a little over 640,000 shares per hour is not a lot of volume, means it will be easy to knock it down again when they are ready to start a raid.
IMS - 24,521
Symphony - 30,079
We will be scripting at a rate of almost 500,000 script per year before the TV ads even start.... Enjoy playing your games bashers and shorts.
