Institutional ownership reported as of 6.30.2013 was 46.46% per nasdaq, 7 on the list have older dates and were not updated when you sort by date. Those 7 were small positions. Where are you seeing over 50% ownership now?
You thinking they increased since the last reported period?
The studies are done and that was the target group we went after..... We can't lower it without more studies and significant costs...... That is OK tho, we have over 110 million obese patients in the US alone walking around that can qualify for this drug.
Once we have enough data under our belts and thousands of people have gotten their Diabetes under control and lost weight safely many doctors will start to script the drug outside the scripting criteria.... But that will take a lot of time and plenty more supporting data.
She is to skinny for me, almost looks unhealthy..
Share price only matters if you are planning on selling early or trading the stock. IF you are here for the treatment of 50 million obese and the treatment of 25 million type I and II diabetics, the price does not matter on a day to day because you are playing for a couple years out... And by then we will have great results from the phase II and entering phase III on at least one of the pipeline drugs and Bel Phen should be on the market in the US and Belviq should then be in other markets world wide....
That is what is meant by does not matter where the price trades day to day, because that is short term manipulation so the big money can get on board this money train.
The new CEO will end up leaving as well, you watch. No one wants to be at the helm with this thing flounders and fails... That will be a black mark on their resume and really big ugly one....
She really does not do much, why don't you go to the shareholder meeting and call her out.... Questions what it is she does at IR, since you have called and emailed like 10 times and have gotten no response...... Forward you requests and your concerns to human resources so they have it on record when you make the statement that she is not doing her job.
So looks like you and jim.ross34 are the same person from this reply. You responded with the wrong id.... Better slow down a little.
All they can do? Hell they are making 100's of millions when you look at the activity market wide... This behavior pays off big time and they can't get in trouble for it. The regulators allow the activity, have loop holes for them and are running blocker..........
A license to steal..... and no one is the wiser or cares about it.
I would say we are undervalued if you consider all of the assets of the company. But the value of the company is usually never effectively reflected in the stocks price. In an established stock the price will be priced on future growth and revenue. In a bubble stock like Amazon, FB, Tesla, Netflix, the value of the stock has surpassed the short term outlook and looks at the overall market potential in the future. We have just such a market, 110 million obese and no real competition. No reason why a doctor would not or should not put his patient on Belviq to see if that patient is a responder.
But we neither sell for our future anticipated growth or our incredible market potential. We are hated today and our stock has not real buyers which is why the shorts and the HFT can have such a hay day. The market cap of ARNA when we were trying to develop Belviq was a billion dollars.
Today we are approved have partners in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, S.Korea, Taiwan. We have a new very valuable GPCR technology patent and others. Our pipeline is moving forward with very positive results from the Phase Ia and Ib trials. I don't see how or why anyone would value our company today at the 1 billion dollar mark. We have only had 12 months on the market for a new novel drug. There is nothing like it on the market today and what has been on the market clearly is not helping in the obesity epidemic.
These games and manipulation will continue until those in power have protected their capital from excessive losses. Nothing we can do about it, our congress is bought and paid for, the SEC is funded, bought and paid for and the media likes to dismiss the speculation of market manipulation as nothing but conspiracy theory.
You really only have 2 choices, sell and walk away (with your profit or loss) or hold and add if you can. Everyone keeps ignoring the simple fact that Belviq a safe and effective weight loss drug has been approved and is selling.
And sales will only continue to increase over time..... When will the stock go up ? Let me know and I will sell everything I have and buy the day before...... :-) But since we don't know we dollar cost average and hold our existing shares.
Bad companies don't need full time bashers and fudsters. A bad stocks price will drop on its own. Actually a sell side firm or short sellers will us any positive news to pump up the stock price quickly to attract new buyers. They will short to them and let the stock fall on its own weight.
In a good company where everyone wants to own it you bash the company day in and day out. You get your media cronies to write negative spin on the news daily or weekly. New buyers see the day after day drop in the price and read the negative and they stay away and look for greener pastures. The stock chartist see the stock price in free fall thinking it is from everyone selling and walking away but it is in fact just games being played to give the illusion of a mass exodus.
I also wish we could get a little more visible support from Eisai. The magnitude of the numbers is being grossly underestimated. 200 part time sales reps that have a quota on all of the drugs in their quivers are not dedicating enough time to marketing Belviq.
While sales of Belviq are continuing to move up I just don't see the word getting out fast enough...... Our patent protection is ticking away and we still are not seeing the exponential growth of scripts not even the start of it. Just steady gains.... We are almost at the end of one 90 day cycle and then we have one more before the end of the year. Those 2 completed cycles should give us adequate data for the sales teams to run with. I myself will want to see Eisai making plans to expand the sales staff or turn on the marketing partnership with Pfizer if there really is such a deal......
This is a numbers game..... If you want big numbers you have to throw big numbers at it.
Play your games for a few more weeks because that is all you will have on this leg down.... A few have been talking about this for a few days and it is now confirmed..... Better take your profits and get long before it is to late...
Phen Fen was a great success until the health issues were discovered and Phen is still scripting over 5 million scripts a year so I do not agree.
