Aricept was not a cancer drug not even close.
What is Aricept?
Aricept (donepezil) improves the function of nerve cells in the brain. It works by preventing the breakdown of a chemical called acetylcholine (ah SEET il KOE leen). People with dementia usually have lower levels of this chemical, which is important for the processes of memory, thinking, and reasoning.
Aricept is used to treat mild to moderate dementia caused by Alzheimer's disease.
Aricept is not a cure for Alzheimer's disease. This condition will progress over time, even in people who take donepezil.
Why would he do that? He has no vested interest in stock so a sale would cut off his golden goose. A buyout would only reward shareholders and management do not hold enough shares to make it worth their while.
I totally disagree, with the wrong people at the helm making bad decisions and bad partnerships and milking the calendar taking way to long to get things done they could easily destroy this company. Never say never and in their case never say impossible.
Scripts are moving up which means more people are trying it and more doctors will see the results.
Thank you missed that clarification... So scratch that from the list above.
Funny how Craig Idiot and Jack outright lied about needing just a little more time to address the EU concerns and they were never cornered or questioned on those statements or misleading expectations. Here we are over a year later and we have no path going forward. But all they needed was just a little more time and they could have addressed their concerns... That was a total lie and crock of crapppola.
Bad news? nah bad spin, yes.... Rome was not built in a day and building a brand takes time. In that respect we need a marketing person that knows how to build a brand running things at Eisai.
Update: in 8 days we added 192 commercials for an average of 24 commercials per day.
National Airings 11,815
Spot Spend Rank 986
Spend Rank: 878
Airing Rank: 860
Still waiting to see this big push and marketing campaign going after the consumers as stated in last call. Print ads and TV commercials have not seen any real bump or push since that guidance....
Nope, just trying to put this in proper perspective, this is not the only catalyst or good news. We have a lot of moving parts... We will go higher.
I must say I thought the new CEO would come in and shake things up after LC was canned. But this guys has made no real changes in the direction of the company in regards to Belviq.
higher then.22 for the day. We have trial updates, drugs entering Phase III and Phase II starts, potential news from Mexico and Canada, and never forget refiling in the EU very soon.
We have not been on the market almost 2 years and no MACE or major side effects reported.. The biggest concern for doctors and many patients is safety. Even tho safety was proven in the clinical studies many want to see real world results. 2 years with no issues is a real win for Belviq and I believe that after we cross the 2 year mark we will see script start to continue higher at a slightly faster rate then seen the previous year.
If you follow the thread, she got a different doctor, see below. That doctor put her on HGC shots daily and a 500 calorie a day diet and once she loses a large amount of weight in the first 8 weeks Belviq and Phen will be scripted for behavioral modification....
I posted the diet below and you can go look it up on the internet. The calorie restriction is for the first couple weeks then they introduce a few more food groups and the count goes up. You can read up on it if you wish.... Google it.
I am not sure this thread offers much value for him. This is an Eisai issue right now. However, the good news is that doctor went back reviewed Belviq studies and real world results and follow up studies and has now modified here treatment plan for this person to include Belviq and Phen.....
Only wish Eisai would do their job a little better. I had to arm this person with all of the data to go back in to her doctor and get her to understand the benefits of the drug.
Update on her treatment, the doctor scripted this HCG alone, no Phen was used during this 1st phase. The treatment plan changed a little, to help her get a large amount of weight off to keep her motivated she was put on the HCG diet and 500 calories a day. Apparently in 5 more weeks she will then script her Belviq and Phen for the "brain modification" to help her maintain the new low calorie lifestyle. Her fear was that if she scripted Belviq or Belviq and Phen the weight would not come off fast enough or keep this individual motivated to lose the weight.
I think someone went back and read the information available on Belviq for a deeper understanding of what Belviq does and how it can help change lifestyle as a behavior modification aid.
I wish they would walk away from the partnershop, it would allow us to gain a teal partner and maybe set us up for a buy out. Eisai's right of first refusal surely has tainted and offers in the past.
Eisai dropped the ball and while doing that destroyed the value of Arena. We have been at the mercy of their misguided attempt for years. They bought the marketing agreement from Arena no one forced them.
