That is b3cause Eisai has no real experience building a brand name and brand awareness. Their sales staff were clearly not very good. If was Pfizer that built Aricept into a multi billion dollar drug. Eisai screwed that one up to and had to bring them on.
Eisai had the chance to do it with just recently and they got greedy and stupid. Now we are at the mercy of 2 idiotic management teams.
Investors need to make a lot of noise at the company and on Belviq social media. Not here, do it where it will be noticed and something will be done about it.
Now we get articles talking about the obvios tv ad slow down. Where were they the last 90 days. What I want to know is what the heII is Arena going to do about it.
Nothing but HOD after HOD, we should consider you a contra indicator. Blew out the 4.50 resistance and never looked back on 200% above average daily volume.

They should have pulled out of Greece long ago. No way the politicians there will do the right then. Bug reser coming, many on government dole and unreasonable pensions about to lose the monthly income for life.
They stated they were going direct to the consumer, yet during the second weight lose season we saw no new ads, no big marketing campaigns, no spokesperson, no before or after coverage, no stories of success. No media appearances from Arena or Eisai on Bellviq.
So where was and is the new direct to consumer push?
It did not happen, it was all lip service and game playing.
For me the heartburn is that Arena management believes they are done, they sold off Belivq and they are clear from any accountability or responsibility. Mean time they spend 130 to 140 million on the pipeline missing the planned revenue source from Belviq.
When Arena says they were not counting on Belviq sales that is an out right lie. I spoke to Craig Audet on many occasions and he stated that Belviq was going to cash flow the pipeline. It was the lowest hanging fruit and would drive the other drugs.
Eisai continues to slow play smoking studies and data releases on the completed studies.
They don't want to spend any money however, they won't give up Belviq because they don't want to lose all that money if a new partner is successful. They want too much cash up front and an on going piece of the pie. So they are starving Arena out.
