from what I have been told by a man at the gun store, govt. is buying .223 and .40 cal hollow points.. don't know if taxing ammo will fly?? maybe doa like more new gun laws...
I went to a gun show in ft. wayne, ind over the weekend... plenty of guns on the tables for sale.. including ar's for $699... as for ammo, at least around here the reloaders have taken up the slack by the recent ammo shortage... I didn't see anyone buying the so called brand name ammo, Winchester, Remington, federal, ect but the a lot of people buying reloads... me included... finally had the opportunity to buy some 9mm, which I still don't see on the shelf any where.. sure there were people there who had the brand name ammo on the table but at triple the price it should have been... didn't see any of it selling.. go figure?? no doubt here in time, ammo will be back on the shelf... it was like this in 2008 before Obama was elected and then afterwards, it eased up...
maybe she should have had a cc permit and had a gun in her purse....
reloaders have taken up the slack around here in Indiana.. went to gun show over the weekend... people still had very high prices on Winchester, Remington, federal ammo but reloaders had plenty of ammo available for prices consistent with what they were before the gun, ammo craze... 22lr still hard to find and very expensive...
went to a gun show in ft. wayne, ind.. it was surprising.. not many people there, ar's at $699 and plenty of them.. did buy some 9mm ammo at a great price.. $14 a 50for fmj and $16 a 50 for hollow points... oh boy, bought 300 rounds of each... came home and shot a box of the fmj... lucky me!!!!!
went to a local gun show today.. man, I was surprised.... ar's going for $699, past shows had been crowded but today's show was sparsely attended.. brand name ammo was high but ran across a guy who had loaded up some 9's in new brass... $14 a 50 for regular 9 round nose and $16 a 50 for hollow points.. man, the hollow points are nice... rushed back home and shot a box... ran like a dream.. some people are still trying to maximize what the are getting for ammo and guns but I think at least for around here in northern Indiana, things have gotten back to normal.... oh did I say I bought 300 rounds of each... happy here in Indiana.....
bought some 9mm yesterday.. was fortunate.. guy at gun store told me government is buying a lot of 223 & .40cal s&w hollow points.. it is us the ammo buying public that is creating this ammo shortage for 9's, 22lr, ect.. a person came in and wanted to buy some 22lr.. he said sorry we are sold out.. man said, well ok, I've got over 5,000 rounds of it now.. we are cutting our own throats...
and not at inflated prices either....
well datbehardwork, I wish the ammo on the shelf would hit here in northern Indiana...
why raise ammo prices by 15%?? why would you want to gouge hard working, honest americans?? the price to produce ammo haven't risen by 15%, has it?? I don't know about their production capacity but I sure in the hell don't want to pay 15% more for it.. ammo will be back on the sales shelf at some point in time.. if Winchester prices are up 15% or more, I will look to buy other brands and I know a lot of people who feel the same way...
here in Indiana, the ammo situation is this... you cannot find it.. you may be able to find some .38's, .357's or .44's which are revolver rounds but not a box of 9mm, .22lr, .40's .380's, or any semi auto round... how long can this last??
which is a good deal.. but ya need some ammo for your gun... and it is in short supply right now....
come on over to my house and find out.. expecially at night... say around 2am in the morning... just go ahead and break in my house cause the doors are all locked.... I dare ya...
are you on drugs??
Obama was all ready to announce that the suspects were white American.. angry American/americans like tim mcvey.. hell bent on killing us... I am so glad it didn't turn out that way... glad also they finally found the last brother... lets save ourselves some money and just waste this piece of #$%$ here and now... a good long rope and a short tree would work just fine....
no ammo round here in Indiana for semi autos.. there is ammo available if you want 38's, 357's, 44's which are revolver rounds...
amen brother
even if the senate did get 60 votes to pass some type of new gun control law, then it goes to the house, I don't think it will pass there.. as for ammo, no 9mm, no cci mini-mags, however if a person is diligent, you may find a box or two here and there you may want.. talked with friend who works in a local gun store today.. he doesn't see any thing changing from what it is now for at least a year.. I did get 2, 50 round boxes of 44 special today.. I am blessed....
any change in gun laws will be a state by state deal.. liberal democrat states will pass tough new gun laws that restrict your ability to own and possess firearms.. i'm glad I live in Indiana, a republican state, and they won't be passing any tough, new laws restricting a person's right to own a bear weapons...
there will be no national gun laws passed.. it will be a state by state thing.. liberal states will pass some tough gun laws.. states like mine, Indiana, which has republican statehouse and governor will not pass any new gun laws.. and yes, demand for ammo here is high, none on the shelf...
