Researchers Identify Novel Therapy to Treat Muscular Dystrophy
"Very few studies have utilized the power of combinatorial therapy in the context of muscular dystrophy." said Professor Girgenrath, the study's corresponding author. "While most MD treatments are single-target therapies, we're delving into combinations of different therapies to target multiple pathways."
The research team studied the outcome of combining the following single mode treatments: increasing regeneration, by overexpressing muscle specific insulin like growth factor-1, IGF-1 and preventing cell death, by inhibiting the expression of Bax, a pro-apoptotic protein. In addition, to test the translational potential of this combination therapy, the researchers systemically treated Bax deficient dystrophic mice with recombinant human IGF-1 (IPLEX TM, manufactured by Insmed Inc).
well lets look at this way - what's going to move insm higher - with such low volume any move higher doesn't really mean much - we have no news until 1st quarter of 2014 - so what's going to propel insm to new highs with the much higher volume? iPlex? I do vaguely remember the conference call when sharsky opened his mouth after the arikace merger and laid it all out......
the point at which a plan or project is realized.
"the plans have come to fruitation sooner than expected"
have to admit hhand - insm is wound pretty tight right now - if the 80% instituitonal holders and insiders is correct.....if we get any kind of news this thing is going vertical.
you still think something is cookin? Personally I don't see how Roche with increlex not being made isn't going to come to fruitation.
Iplex? The week of thanksgiving could be interesting. Long weekend for the market to absorb how complex iplex will be.
wish I knew - I don't believe we have any change in the stock price until the master plan is revealed. what is the master plan....no idea but I'm sure Credentia is involved some how.
So when is credentia going to show how they are involved? An ipo on the NYSE to burn the shorts that have been here for 6 years?
Are Credentia and Pinoccio preparing for a big run? they already own millions of shares, and now that they know the potential for CorvisaCloud, whats next?
so I have hard time believing we are sitting at a buck forty when some kind of partnership could easily be done to increase share price. when GA was alive and in charge we had a buck in cash plus iplex.....I'm sure some big pharma would have more then happy to pay 125 million for iPlex and we could have walked away with 2 bucks
I know I'm going to get laughed at when I say this but I think iPlex is worth billions to a big pharma and arikace with the numbers posted on this board is worth billions also. I just don't see insm being a stand alone company when a big pharma could come in and buy insm especially with patents expiring like we see with soo many big pharmas like merck etc. your $180 I would think is a great number but just for iPlex....now what's arikace worth?
world-class biopharmaceutical company.........as much as I like Lewis and what he is doing it's hard to call us a future world-class bio company. I don't see why a big pharma wouldn't come in and buy insm before that.
What do we have next to look forward to? first quarter ntm results? we're range bound for as fas as stock price till lewis decides to come out with some news
