Good point, do not forget the Chinese who commented on the situation, Europe under actual terms serve NO purpose but getting the rich richer, nuff said,
Hope they could find an agreement soon and I believe they will.
Explanation why the stock is down could be related to this news:
The Chemours Co. (NYSE:CCwi) will replace Semtech Corp. (SMTC) in the S&P MidCap 400, and Semtech will replace Paragon Offshore plc (PGN) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Tuesday June 30. S&P 100 & 500 constituent E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Co. (DD) is spinning off Chemours in a transaction expected to be completed on that date. Dupont will remain in the S&P 100 & 500 following the distribution. Semtech and Paragon Offshore are ranked near or at the bottom of their current indices.
AMD denies Reuters report.
A spin-off or divestiture of the server business will generate substantial value for AMD shareholders.
Steve Mollenkopf (CEO of Qualcomm) mentioned that he's interested in M&A particularly in the server space to gain competencies and scale.
Therefore, Qualcomm may be mulling a buyout of AMD.
Qualcomm can generate significant accretion from this type of deal, as it strategically positions Qualcomm to counter Intel across mobile, CPUs, graphics, and servers.
I am not sure about the 55% you're referring to, but there is a great deal of unwanted, useless bureaucracy and way to many fonctionaires (civil servants) that their only job is to harass people on daily basis.
Liberals are not to be blamed for most part, at least they're trying to give every people a fair chance to succeed, the problem? the minorities and the lack of educations for most, only governments are to be blamed for the results, solutions? start with controlled immigration and focus on learning, no democracy in this world will never be successful based on poor education and to much corruption, it simply doesn't work!
I do believe the Greek regime is trying hard to get things better, to make the country better but there's so much to be achieved taking over after years of corrupt and conservative politic, it will take a long time for Greece to clean-up their acts, yet, European leaders are certainly aware of the dangers the Greek situation poses and I do believe a solution will be reached through compromises pretty soon as it cannot be any other way if Europe want to stay as one.
Yeah! and by the same token "rich countries" like France, Germany and some others are able to borrow money under 0% - how can this be possible when some other are suffering a great deal!! French economy is not that great! , Greece is playing hardball because they refuse to abide to that stupid system, how can you choke the one trying to make ends meet... cannot blame them for exposing a weak system but what may be looming is the risk of European implosion, not that I care, but everyone will get affected if it happen; Europe as to revise its policies or perish!
Consolidations in the sector is inevitable and that's a good think, either ERIC taking over or NOK doing the same to ERIC is the likely and most sensible steps to be taken, both of them need ALU..
