entertainment.... more so if you have a good sense of humor. My guest is theres so much junk in both of their closets neither will stay the course.
scientists to put today’s warm period into context.... ice-cores, tree-rings (density and width), lake and sea sediments, historical records, speleotherms, and pollen. All of them go back to 1500 AD and 32 go back as far as 1 AD.....the climate was warmer 1000 years ago. COME ON MAN CAUSED GLOBAL WARMING POLITICAL SPENDING NUT CASES. ENOUGH ALREADY!
reports that the retailers in RBC’s database increased their store opening plans for the coming year by 0.6 percent during the past month, to 42,213 locations. Their two-year store opening plans rose by 0.4 percent to 79,294 locations.... WHAT DOES THIS DO FOR ANTI SPRAWL NUT CASES ?
discovery of what may be the world’s largest gas field off the Egyptian coast ... With an estimated 30 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in place...
the most expensive government regulation ever is getting closer to being issued....OZONE is caused by emissions from vehicles, industrial facilities and power plants. The EPA says the current ground-level ozone emissions standard of 75 parts per billion over eight hours needs to be reduced in order to protect the public//...what total nonsense, even if true, life as we know it requires electric at low cost and transportation. If the trade off is fewer years or increased illness than that is acceptable and much preferred over turning back our standard of living a thousand years. More nonsense from liberal nut cases.

against successful retailers..that is strange. Activists on both left and right often will invoke the name of the "people" when their real goal is to restrict the choices of those "people. Activists are folks that are certain they know what is best for anyone and everyone and are willing to force all to accept what is good for them. We have lots of activists posting on this board.
. Water vapour varies from 0 per cent to four per cent , and should easily average one per cent or more near the Earth's surface, where the greenhouse effect would be most important, and is about three times more effective a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. So water vapour is at least 25 times more prevalent and three times more effective; that makes it at least 75 times more important to the greenhouse effect than carbon dioxide
idea that we should be spending hundreds of billions of dollars and hamstringing the economy of the entire world to reduce carbon dioxide emissions is beyond ludicrous in light of the facts ; it is insane
Evidence is that the medieval warm period centred on the 1200s was somewhat warmer than we are now , and the climate was clearly colder in the Little Ice Age in the 1600s than it is now . So we are within the range of normal up-and-down fluctuations without human greenhouse contributions
aberrant behaviour of the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University, which had been the main data source for Anthropogenic Global Warming arguments. They initially refused to reveal their algorithms and data on the grounds that they were proprietary. They responded to critics with ad hominem attacks and efforts to block their publication in scientific journals.... famous WikiLeaks "Climategate" to pry loose the data and expose their machinations....there argument seems to rest on a logical fallacy, post hoc ergo propter hoc -- after this, therefore, because of this. We see a rise in temperature and a rise in (principally) carbon dioxide, and therefore conclude one must have caused the other. It does not necessarily follow at all.... WHY
politicians; a carbon tax or carbon trading regime would allow enormous revenues to fall into their hands."progressive" ideologues; it logically leads to enormous expansion of government power over industry, the economy, and the daily life of individuals, which they regard as a good thing. the environmentalists; they want to shrink the size and impact on the environment of modern civilisation but real people need to protect their self interest (emplotment, food, shelder, warth, and standard of living) by renouncing global warming assertions and destructive cures
don't believe in global warming---caused by man...that is fact and time will provide prove of correctness of their believe. Real science will soon correct the current politically influenced ideas.
Who is Naomi Klein? Naomi Klein Admits in Her Climate Change Screed that ‘Global Warming’ is All About Anti-Capitalist Polemics, And Has Nothing to Do, Really, With Science. Naomi Klein? Liberal writer Naomi Klein’s magnum opus on the environment, This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. The Climate. Klein, who jets around from one progressive confab to another, cavorting , rock stars, and U.N. minions....
anti-capitalism Naomi Klein activist edited the leftist Canadian publication This Magazine. In 2000, she she published No Logo, which served as a manifesto for the anti-corporate, global justice movement. The New Yorker called her “the most visible and influential figure on the American left The same Naomi Klein Admits ‘Global Warming’ is All About Anti-Capitalist Polemics, And Has Nothing to Do, With Science or actual man made warming but rather is Our best chance to replace capitalism . Understand the mind set of the leftest coalition puching solitions to and exsistence of man made global warming. Is that the kind of company you want to keep? Can you, do you, accept their climate assertions without questioning ?
argue that our economic system must be upended if we are to have any chance to save the planet from the worst impacts of climate change. you can have perpetual economic growth, with all that goes with it, or you can have an approach to climate change that treats it as the most serious issue the planet faces, but you can’t have both. I read ANTI- capitalism, Anti-productivity, anti prosperity, anti-human life. This is what climate change advocates are selling as a cure for supposed man caused global warming. Their carbon tax, ozone regulations are designed to shut down our factories, power plants and replaces capitalism and democracy with something they can control. If you are singing the man caused global warming tune, you have joined their choir. Obamba, Gore, Edwards all sing in that choir along with some UN types that seek to redistribute wealth. To those who need from those who have and when nobody has; well, they haven't thought that far. Have you joined that choir ? And WHY ?
Walmart is not the oldest retailer, nor was Walmart started by people of great wealth. The secret ? Make a little, sell a lot. And find a way to continuely lower costs and pass that savings along in ever lower prices. Many retailers are better mercandizers but long term delivering more for less has made Walmart the largest retailer.
yes, sounds like Walmart picked a good spot. You. on the other hand may need to check your marbles.
if this is a problem every competitor would gladly exchange places to have such a problem,....It said the problems included accounting treatment for leased assets "which should have resulted in the company being deemed the owner of the leased assets."
Wal-Mart, which had flagged the accounting issue when reporting quarterly earnings last month, said management believed related adjustments to its financial statements would be immaterial for all periods.
The company said it was revising its existing controls and procedures to properly apply sale-leaseback accounting, and the remediation is expected to be completed in the year ending January
The Wall Street Journal reports that Aldi has plans to invest $3 billion and add 600 new stores to its U.S. roster by 2018. That would bring the total to around 2,000, putting it in the same league as Target and not far from supermarket biggies like Safeway, Kroger, and SuperValu.
Earlier this year, the grocer bought 146 Albertson's and Safeway locations. With that move, Haggen , acquired a heap of trouble. As stores close, Haggen said it intends to pay its terminated employees as quickly as possible through normal payment methods ...likely unable to close any more stores without bankruptcy court approval. An interim hearing has been set for September 24 to review Haggen's requests.
