Sorry slumdawg, but could you translate that for me? I'm just a simple engineer who works with pyro, explosives and propellants. Medical arena is not my cup of tea. Thanks in advance.
Doc, you're welcome. Will be very happy to make additional shares available at around $8 flat. I was ecstatic like you a year ago about ARNA. As you can imagine there are 1,000 seriously overweight people for every sleep-deprived blind person. Belviq didn't have any restrictions like VVUS's product Qsymia. Their stock should have shot to $30, right? Wrong!!! There are manipulative forces everywhere that make or break a stock. ARNA is only now starting to climb up off the proverbial mat after having been a short punching bag for an entire year. I'm still long and hope to reach the break even point early next year. I hope you're right about VNDA, but don't be surprised if your patience is put to the test.
It tells me they need some extra cash for Christmas. However, if it worries other folks into driving down the share price - great.
Not if you were long since $6, which is where it was on November 8th. It's all a matter of timing. Recent longs at $13 or more, yes, they will be getting smoked for awhile.
Why yes! Everyone knows sleep disorder amongst the blind is a far greater problem than cancer, heart disease and obesity combined. We see it all over the news on a daily basis. There are at least a dozen fundraisers locally per year. Don't forget all those black ribbons you see everywhere! I just can't believe it took the FDA so very long to recommend approval for such a monumental drug. NOT!
Have you been paying attention to the brief bits of news coming out of the ADCOM? Several of the FDA panel have been trying to come to an understanding as to why this drug is even needed. What they're saying is "There's no market for this thing!" Even if it's approved the company will go bankrupt trying to sell any their product.
It's frustrating isn't it? Zacks "slam article" didn't even mention the new Marine Corps contract or the fact that the contract offers the option for the other services (Air Force, Army and Navy) to jump on board. I work for the Navy and if there's one thing I've noticed it is how other services love to jump on an existing contract rather than awarding a brand new one of their own. Boingo would be very wise to market that option not only for simplicity and cost savings, but also for standardization across bases.
ARNA isn't necessarily failing, they just haven't exploded out of the gates so to speak like so many hoped they would. Their stock price is being actively manipulated by a bunch of shorts who want to see them fail. It's also in Esai's best interest to keep sales down this first year so they don't owe ARNA a bonus.
Hello! Anybody out there? There are boards that get more traffic in one hour than this thing gets in a year. Come on folks - share some thoughts. This has lost 10% of its value in no time at all. Isn't somebody the least bit peeved?
I'm going to try to hold out for sub $6. A really good point for me would be $5.88. More negative pressure tomorrow and a poor quarterly report just might do it.
Hey all you ARNA shorts, how about redirecting some of your potent skills toward Vanda Pharma? They have an FDA ADCOM meeting in about three weeks and I hear your buddy Fartstain is saying no way they get approval. Why focus on getting the last few cents out of Arena when you can make mucho dollars with VNDA? Sic 'em boys!
