I am liking YHOO a lot here and bought late into the game and not a lot of shares--you bought 10,000 amazing conviction
I agree with the article the future is inBABA and YHOO is a good way to play it

    Hello Guys
Hope that you are having a great day
My vote is for do nothing for time being...
You may get very hurt in a market correction and if Russia heats up look out
    My .02 cents

I got zero patience so I have to discipline my self--not easy since I lack patience! Geez
The articles are roaring in on SDRL positive and negative -- My guess is that $30 is the bottom and SDRL will not cut the dividend. But if RUSSIA does a stupid action-well all bets are off. War over their is to destabilizing !
Since I sold al my SDRL because I had a $39 buy price--The pain was to much for me
I guess I need some Jack Daniels...
Best to you and all MB members'

  • As of Monday at least, Seadrill and its peers all seemed to be a collection of 'falling knives.' Seadrill had not seen such a low price since 2012, and it's difficult to imagine that many big investors were actually waiting around for Seadrill to test a bottom that is two years old. Looking at the chart above, Seadrill's most relevant support level was in early 2014, but that floor had already been breached.

Perhaps a more helpful way of putting Seadrill's decline into context is to look at previous steep declines. Between November 15 and December 20th of 2013, Seadrill dropped by 15.4%. Between late April and early June of 2012, the stock dropped a similar 16%. The most recent drop, however, has been more significant. From August 15th to September 15th, Seadrill has dropped by a total of 20.8%, making this decline the most significant in recent memory.

In my opinion, there was not any relevant support level until, perhaps, Tuesday. So when is the best time to enter Seadrill? For those who do not place a heavy emphasis on technicals, the answer is: Right now. However, those who have been scaling in over the past week, myself included, have been doing just that and getting burned day in and day out. The scariest moment is often the best time to buy.

On Tuesday, up until at least mid-day, Seadrill has regained some lost ground. Although it is far too early to call this 'the bottom,' I believe Tuesday's action is an encouraging sign and that perspective investors still have a chance to hop into Seadrill and receive a yield of nearly 13%.

This past week has been a gut-wrenching one for long-time holders of Seadrill. On a personal level, not long ago I wrote that Seadrill was a calculated risk worth taking, and I too have been burned by the downward action of last week. Still, Seadrill's fundamental story remains unchanged and the steep declines of the last few trading sessions only make Seadrill an even more compelling value. While it is, again, far too early to tell by just the early day action on Tuesday that Seadrill has rebounded slightly is a good sign, and I believe that an investor who has a stomach for volatility should go ahead and jump into Seadrill now. Also, as was the case with Linn Energy (NASDAQ:LINE) in 2013, it's best to ignore the negative articles from certain media outlets.

I read that also-- that their CFO said that the rig market would remain soft for two more years before it would begin to recover. is not the time to buy shares--the risk reward ratio is not good at this point
I see no clarity and we may get further share price erosion with out some catalyst.
Mark may have some good comments to share with us..
Not that it matters but J Cramer was asked about the rigs and he stated that he sees a house of pain
for the time being--and the price of oil is dropping
    Just my .02 cents
