What is one, two, three and four. You sound like you know what you are doing. Mine are Mastercard, Akami, Visa and Apple.
Well, I was close. Thanks for the almost exact dates. MA was recommended on a Bulls 'n Bears show. They kept on saying "Ca ching" and I started out with 300 IPO shares from Schwab for Visa. On MA I have added through the years, ten shares at a time, as high as $400 a share and I am sitting pretty. I invest for a few friends of mine and immediately bought MA when it split. They are up very nicely. Never going to sell, never going to pay taxes on it.
They just raised the dividend 2%. Why are you such a scaremonger?
Only the nitwits like you sit in front of the tv and wait for Cramer to make money for them. Read his books sometime, instead of being such an amateur. Mickey Dee's pays a great dividend, has a new CEO and will rise again. People don't expect a fifteen dollar burger when they go to MCD. They get what they pay for and they know it. Grow up!!!!!
So funny. I STARTED buying gold yesterday. The operative word here is "Started." I bought 75 shares of GLD, with the intention of adding on the the way down. And, I do believe it is going down. And, then, of course, going UP.
And, WIN was paying such a high dividend that it was the tip off that it was going to bust. Beware of stocks paying such high dividends. It will come back to bite you in the ARSE.
Buy some apple. You won't have to worry about dripping. Buy some Mastercard. Buy some netflix. Your attitude about investing is from 20 years ago. I know, I did it. It winds up being a very SMALL increase. Senior Citizens, like myself, need some dividends, the young should go for innovative growing companies.
I only started making money in the market when I stopped being married to my stocks. It is time to dump and take a new position that will be better. I added up my dividends a half a dozen times in WIN and CSAL and I am still losing a little bit. Just get rid of it. (I am no shorty.)
Ma has performed better overall. V looks like it is catching up and the pundits seem to always recommend V, but me personally I have made a small fortune on MA. I also own both for at least ten years. A definitive answer for me for the long term is MA
