    The Manchurin Candidate

No law says your posts have to make sense. Free speech is free speech. You are getting incoherent, though.

Working so hard for people whose agenda includes reducing your diminishing life expectancy is odd too.

Google US Government owns patent on Ebola

Some rural African villages where the disease has always been endemic had customs like putting victims in a hut and putting food and water under the door. If there came a time when they didn't take it for a few days, more wood was piled around the hut and it was burned.

People migrated to the cities en masse don't know anything about such customs and couldn't do it anyway. There are few or no medical services where they live in the slum areas. The populations of those countries has hugely increased with little cultural transmission for many. Governments have been spending their money on arms not infrastructure and education.

Your remarks about President Obama are racist and as stupid and evil as anything going on in Africa. You should be ashamed to go out and walk among ordinary Americans.

You get more and more crazy and overtly racist with time. It's like watching a slo-mo of a building collapsing.

Call 911 and tell them, at length, about your visions....

Actually a little work, especially on the Columbia site, indicates otherwise. And anyone who came forward with people like you around would be risking the safety of their families as well as themselves.

And if you want a Manchurian Candidate, try George Bush who mounted a Starve The Beast attack, Nordquist style, on his own government and capitol. When he took a dive in China's trade war with the US in his administration to fund his adventures, the transfer or wealth and technology to China was historic in scope and scale. That loss of the most important war of his years is not recoverable any time soon. Actually, he lost them all, didn't he?

Go to the Columbia Web site. They do remember him and are proud of it as he is the first President that came through Columbia. He is remembered as a real student. So he didn't go to enough parties for you?

This "story", like the "birthers" was debunked years ago.

" Root says of Obama, "I don't know a single person at Columbia that knew him, and they all know me. "
And Obama is President and Root is noticeably no one - he should have hit the books more and the bars less.....

Ebola has been in rural Africa for many generations and the cultures there evolved some procedures for dealing with it by quarantining victims. Googling as you suggest easily comes up with Web sites claiming that the US Army "invented" Ebola and planted it in Africa in the '70's. The sites also claim that coming up with vaccines for plagues that kill off tens of millions of people a year is all a conspiracy of some kind.

It is true that inexpensive Web / Internet technology enables people who are more or less clinically insane to vent to the world. I have nothing against that, you included, as long as they are not dangers to their families and neighbors.

I notice that families are resisting vaccines for their kids resulting in an increasing incidence of old childhood diseases which were within sight of being eradicated. We, all of us, are just a couple of airplane hops away from the worst scourges on earth, like Ebola and Marburg . Denying kids some of these vaccines in the future may kill them and maybe their neighbors too. I am not just talking about people you don't like for some reason.

The CDC is as important to the defense and safety of the USA as all the aircraft carriers and more. It is very important that it be well managed, state of the art, and not politicized. It is also important that the results be available to the US population in general not just some sub 1%.

Be careful of what you wish for....

If the Southeastern states have a plan to run out their low income, sick, and old populations as they ran out unemployed, non-educated, Black American agricultural workers and families around 1960, it will fail. This time there is no funding left for the massive subsidies that the Southeast needs into the future no matter who they run out. That is likely the plan and you will end up with a real second Civil War as a result.

There is no reason why the alien Southeastern Culture Area should even be US states at all. It's about time that was fixed.

    Coda ===== the little Tesla

    by kbodie77777 Sep 26, 2014 8:27 PM
    maguro_01 maguro_01 Sep 26, 2014 11:41 PM Flag

Nominating the Coda a little Tesla is just too much of a strain. It's not quite as odd as your insistence that everything from an electric skateboard to a Model S is an "EV". The Coda was an electrified version of an old car from China where the bodies were built. Cars of its type and price range were and are not remotely economic and it competed with subsidized compliance cars.

Low / medium end electric cars may have seemed possible when the lately Crashed US was hemorrhaging out from an imported oil bill but fracking, especially, has put that aside almost indefinitely. Ditto the surprising strength of the US dollar as well. The US has been printing money against the relative inelasticity of the dollar since Greenspan. Unfortunately, that means using up that privileged status slowly.

Tesla's basic insight remains - that they could raise the bar on the performance / civility state of the art tradeoff in cars by going electric, though at the high end with today's batteries. And they did it.

Sounds like you are doing what the kb poster likes to do - all "EV's" from electric skateboards to Leaf's to Model S's are in the same market. That's like putting motor scooters to Fiat 500's to Mercedes 550's in the same market.

One would think a spectrum of ideas and opinions a good thing. People who are real believers one way or the other often stick around until they get zapped or find another enthusiasm. A few shorts, though, write what appears to be professionally written anti-advertising not usually distinguished by truthfulness. In principle one could see corresponding longs.

The posters with staying power are the ones with grievances of some sort. The kb poster came here as a political poster after the political wars on the Ford BB. I think he made the mistake of believing his own writing and may have lost his shirt. "Ought to" doesn't work in the market or any other business. As Keynes is often quoted "The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent."

The coach poster told the story some time ago of not being hired by Tesla. Given his apparent temperament he will be here forever. He could presumably make interesting observations, but is disabled. Maybe he really does think his life and experiences are eternal .

Fiscally Obama is much more conventionally conservative than his predecessor. Ditto foreign policy and war. But people like yourself are easily distracted by Confederate politics.

If you go to a carnival you come back broke, right? You can never guess which shell the pea is under...............

  • maguro_01 maguro_01 Sep 25, 2014 6:02 PM Flag

So you still live in the world of 40-50 years ago.....not surprising.

The Republicans endorsed and adopted Paul Ryan's Medicare change proposal . It sent billions to insurance companies and "saved" by pulling the plug on Granny, that is cutting US life expectancy. US life expectancy is already the lowest in the developed West (ref - CIA World Fackbook online). That's true even though US expenditures on medical care overall have been far higher than any other country and would be higher but for Medicare.

Republicans these days think that people should die in net worth order. Where does that leave you? Your 'use by' date has likely expired already.......
