    Are you freaking serious????!!!

Nobody cares.........The only thing that matters is whether or not AFFY can sell any assets that will add to the value for shareholders in the here and now. 99% chance they won't but we can dream.

It really doesn`t appear that the BOD has made any attempt at approaching threse companies. You would think that they would have the SHs better interest in mind but I have no idea what they are thinking at this point. It feels like you are watching some animals playing with a dead animal just for fun. My question is who actually owns O now? Does Takeda retain the rights or did they revert back to AFFY?

Why wouldn`t the BOD at least make an attempt to sell some of iits assets. They have stated they`d look into it, How insincere and incompetent can they be? They probably could scrounge up $2mil. with the help of some company in the shadows who never wants O to make it to market again.

Some things to consider in the Affy saga

How long do you think anyone is going long? A day? An hour or two? Would anyone new really take a chance and go long on the chance some one buys something the company is offering? Getting anyone new to buy the stock is taking a big risk. My question is this: If shareholders vote no on dillution. Does that force the boards hand and make them look more carefully at a buyer? Or will they just declare BK?

Yes of course.........But I`m betting that they already have the votes otherwise they wouldn`t have decided to liquidate. If by chance a "no" vote is successful, the pps would skyrocket because as you said, they would be forced to find to look for a buyer for its assets.

Affy management did the killing of the drug!

I would like to believe that AFFY would be willing to sell whatever patents and O itself to bring some relief to shareholders, but they have been negligent in so many ways, why would they at this point. It appears that the only possible satisfaction SHs could get is if they are able to the assets in a responsible manner before BK. If you look at everything they have, I can`t believe what they have to offer isn`t worth between $50-100 mil. But the management is just to stupid and worse, they just don`t care. How Takeda let this all go is beyond me....

Until such time, if any, as the stockholders of the Company approve its dissolution and liquidation in accordance with the Plan, and the Board decides, and instructs management, to proceed with a dissolution, the Company will continue to investigate and consider any feasible, alternative, value-creating transactions of which it becomes aware. If prior to its dissolution the Company receives an offer for a transaction that, in the view of the Board, is favorable to dissolution of the Company, the dissolution could be abandoned in favor of such a transaction, even if the Plan has been previously approved by the Company's stockholders.

Hope in the horizon for AFFY!

Seriously.......The only hope now is if some company buys AFFY from the caretakers and the shareholders get a small cut somehow. The "board" gets their cut and the scraps go the the rest. And how much would they actually pay? Takeda really screwed this up. They never got to a real answer. Many thought they would never give up on a $600 mil. investment that actually worked for the vast majority of patients. If they give up on O, which is something I mentioned last fall, then who is going to take a chance? If they are planning to BK, whjy have the insurance pay off the suits? The answers are probably on the horizon with the mention recently that they have just enough money to get through the 3rd Q. If someone buys them or they can get a new influx of money, AFFY may still be viable until a buyer comes. I see only a buyer or BK. They can`t do anything on their own. The SHs meeting is coming up, I believe. I don`t expect anything though. I now wonder who has the rights to O now. Takeda backed out of the agreement, which I think also includes any royalties they planned on paying. The shorts will just play the stock up and down until any new news.
