If we see some more of this tomorrow at the open we might be onto something. Could be just one large investor and not necessarily a Fund.. About 90,000 shares traded in only a handful is a good sign though that's for sure.
Yes we will, stay tuned. Try and keep an open mind because there are 2 sides to every trade and you could be on the right side or maybe not? Time will tell and actually it's a matter of timing if you are a trader, and a matter of the science if you a long term investor, same applies for shorts as for longs. GL
This is true but on one hand you have the AF's and SA's of the world, so why not fight fire with fire because in fact Ziopharm has promising tech in the lab.
You're right pal, the shorts are betting against all logic and treat ZIOP like an unwanted step-child . In time a deal will come in 2016 and we will see how they spin that. lol
and trigger milestone payment. This would trigger some shorts to run for the exits also. Double digits coming?
Dr. Cricket is at it again with his usage of suffering cancer survivors to poison the minds of investors. Haven't seen his son Cricket Jr. here tonight with his ridiculous 4.00 valuations. Between those two chirping jackasses I don't know who is worse. Who cares, let them keep chirping as long as the PPS keeps going up and data keeps coming in good it should shut them up eventually. And if the science fails then I guess we have to say aside from being crickets, they were right.
I cannot believe that people have the nerve to even twist the words of cancer patients to chase investors out of a stock. The poor man clearly says it "might save his life" and you even wrote it yourself, and yet you still are bent on trying to convince people here that there is no benefit realized by Chad as a result of this trial treatment. Do you think he said it might save his life if he didn't think there was a possibility that it might have already? Extremely biased point of view in my opinion and I wonder what your motives really are. Shame on you if it's money that plays that role.
Yup, there goes the SpinDoctor again, it's not funny any more, it's pitiful in fact.
Thanks for putting all these Dr. Spin fibs in one neat bundle of FUD. He says he has "DATA" to refute all this instead of his "facts" being because he says so. Let's see what data he can post that we can check to see if he can refute these blatant lies or otherwise he should just disappear or at least knock it off and stick to facts if he wants any respect.
Hey run, yesterday you told me not to bother with Dr. Spin and now you are arguing with this idiot? Funny though, I understand that it's hard not to when someone posts and reposts such nonsense on a daily basis and it's about time some people that know the truth step in and challenge him to post his "data" he claims to have. I have read ALL and ALL there is to read and nowhere does it say that Duke's patients had "inoperable" tumors as opposed to Ziopharm's ....and that is just one example that HopeWill pointed out. GL
Are now appearing? Where have you been, this is one of the most shorted stocks in the market with over 25% of the outstanding shares and 40% of the tradable float. If you are so paranoid about the short cabal put your shares in a cash only account and forget about these constant rants about shorts and get yourself a posture-pedic mattress. Unless you are also scared of Big Foot, Chupa Cabra, the Moth Man, Aliens and the IRS. Then I suggest trying Sonesta or Ambien. GL and don't let the bed-bugs bite....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Dr. Spin, a.k.a. George, SpinDoctor, Redbush, AF Jr, acts like holding back some detail for the actual ASCO presentation is unusual. Truth is ASCO expects it and ZIOP actually UPDATED the older abstract data with months more of updated data and detail. In reality, ZIOP gave more additional updated data since the abstract in their PR than probably 95% of the other companies with ASCO abstracts. ZIOP disclosed way more data and updated data than most companies. They should be lauded not criticized for keeping some detail (as encouraged by ASCO) for the actual presentation in a few weeks.
Spinning it as fast as he can. Shameless short lemming that just doesn't get that WE ALL get it. When will he get tired of being called a liar, Dr. Spin at it again.
Your right, I'm out of here but I will be back later to see how things are going. I only wish some longs keep the facts on the page while I enjoy this gorgeous day.)
Three surgeries or four surgeries prior to dosing has no bearing on whether the treatment has been beneficial to the patient. Again what you see as important is nonsense in the grand scheme of things. Resection alone has never fully eliminated Glioma. Past 3 years only 2% OS has been recorded over the past 20 years so your whole case is flawed as you portray Glioblastoma as "manageable". Are you for real? Your ignorance of the facts is laughable and if I were you I would just buzz off as you are making a bucking jackass out of yourself.
Glioma tumors are never completely resected and that is why they eventually grow back in a spot that is inoperable and means death is certain. The whole reason for this treatment is to kill the remaining stem cells and keep the patient's tumor from re-growing. Either you are just too stupid to get that or you think everyone here is too stupid to see through your bs. If his tumor regrows than we have a problem but again no treatments are 100%, not OPDIVO, not KEYTRUDA, not YERVOY and certainly not on Glioma solid tumors. What this company is doing is a Phase I trial to establish safety and tolerability before moving into Phase II. But don't be surprised to see this trial evolve into a combo with OPDIVO or KEYTRUDA and the Phase I trial stopped. This is a process, and attacking the results of a Phase I as far as efficacy goes is a joke and much worse than the "exuberance" you make fun of because 10-11 patients are in what appears to be remission even though we need more time to make that claim it is very encouraging and your criticism is out of sheer ignorance or planned deception. You are an idiot in a world you are trying to look bright in but it isn't working. Buzz off, everyone knows your game.
Georgebushky says he is a shareholder yet he trashes Ziopharm's science 24/7? How stupid can he be to think people would believe that. Right, everyone buys shares of a small early stage biotech and then when data come out they attack the company and say the resections alone saved the patients and the science is a scam to enrich management and shareholders. And then he even says he is holding the stock what seems to be long term? If you thought the company was putting out faulty or shoddy inflated data and the science is not responsible for OS or PFS than why would you hold the stock? Makes no sense and he must think we are all idiots. He must be sick to think he can bs everyone here. Wacky guy for sure.
What a liar. Why would someone that owns the stock try and disprove the science? Stop the nonsense about exuberance and pumping because everyone with one brain cell can see through your game.
From the looks of the page it seems clean-up has already begun and it is about time. I stopped coming here because all the longs got tired of the same reposting of garbage by the same person day after day for months on end. But it is a breathe of fresh air to see longs are returning to refute this guy's twisting and flip-flopping of facts and data. The better the data becomes the more he lies and I don't expect it to stop unless a buyout comes and I doubt that is going to happen yet. So I will come around again and put my two cents in as that is my God given right and part of my 1st Amendment rights as a proud American citizen.
Good idea to repost this garbage from last year. Pointing out how the short thesis has evolved in only 6 months is evidence in itself that their case s falling apart so now that the "switch" has proven out they say the patients are healthy subjects surviving because of successful resections. Even while experts like Dr Rosenberg and Dr. Chiocca say the exact opposite. Do you think these two experts are familiar with the cohorts and PFS rates? Do you think these two prominent Doctors are part of a conspiracy to inflate Zipharm's PPS?
Just stop and think about the implications people here are making and you have to laugh out loud!
The issue with Recurrent Glioblastoma is the stem cells are never really eradicated-- so it keeps growing back.
Eventually it grows back in a region of the brain that is inoperable and proves to be fatal.
The ability of this treatment to prevent recurrence after resection is the big win.
IL-12 is known to cause the destruction of glioblastoma stem cells. Clearing the stem cells out is what will prevent the tumor from reforming.
Until that hypothesis is proved wrong-- we can ignore the AF and Redbush mish-mash
