Momentum only at this point, I suppose. While buyout rumors (or other small pharmas being bought out) may take the price up temporarily, it is way too early to happen to GERN. While trial results have been exceptional, there is a long way to go yet before FDA approval. This stock is temporarily moving on rumor and recent increases in target price. Once the dust settles, price would logically begin to deteriorate until the next piece of news appears. This isn't bad, per se, but this is how these small caps pharmas move - news, news news. IMHO, naturally.
I am planning to hold long term. I made nice money in Kerx, Hemispherex (years ago), and Acadia. I hope to do the same here. It certainly looks positive. Buy and hold. Don't be worried by the volatility. It is what these stocks do.
Not that I am a great fan of banks, but Obama has been a relentless enemy of US banking. Much of BAC's suffering has been due to obligations undertaken at the behest of the US Government, purchases that it never would have taken had it not been for extreme political pressure. That doesn't account for everything but BAC has certainly paid a high price for the failings of/mandates of the Federal Government.
