Since when is the WRONG THING, the right thing to do?
GM is a despicable entity that needs to be punished for all the lives they have wrecked. I am not even talking about those that died as a result of faulty ignitions or steering.
Those are just the tip of the iceberg.
This company has ruined more lives than any other enemy we could possibly compare them to.
GM. Public Enemy Number One!
They have already done the math.
The settlements would have exceeded the loss of profits from the sale of cars and trucks by those who will never buy another GM vehicle again.
If anyone thought GM would do anything different, they were fools. This is GM we are talking about. One of the most corrupt, soulless, nastiest, horrible companies that has graced the face of corporate America.
GM culture. Stick it to others to cover your own short comings. Blame others for what ails you!
GM will go bankrupt AGAIN, with or without liability settlements from this last recall fiasco. Someone is going to jail.
I haven't been around for a while..Are they still pumping The VOLT?
Are the same VOLT lovers still part of the forum? Are they a little more humbled nowadays?
Is John Kimes still chiming in with his 60,000 a year VOLT sales predictions or did they simmer down wit that nonsense?
Well what do you know,
They didn't wait until Summertime to hit that $31.xx range.
Would you like to revise your prediction of $32-$35?
$25 will come faster than the blink of an eye.
I haven't made a ton of money. I have done well. In retirement I am a lot more conservative than I was in previous years.
I plan on making plenty to in the next few months.
I am way ahead in the game, because I have started placing my bets on my own instincts.
You will remember how I was adamant about the demise of GM the first go around and yet, simply stayed on the sidelines because shorting was a total foreign language to me.
Starting with BP and GM on their second lease at life I have started placing my money on my own beliefs and convictions. So far it has been just dandy.
Those who talk about me....pffft. I have learned not to bother with the idiots and the less fortunate. They have nothing else going for them, they need someone something to talk about. I am sure you will keep them in their place during my absence.
For someone to be in line to become the CEO of a company the size of GM one must have their hands in more than just what has crossed their desk.
Barra was not some outsider or just some lowly plant supervisor who mat or may not be aware of product failures and liabilities.
She was up there, high enough in the food chain to be appointed the CEO of GM.
It is very unlikely she is ignorant or was ignorant of what was going on. This wasn't just a case of some products being assembled with below par parts. No one person at GM could know everything that is going on at all time.
This was a big deal. Something that lasted 10 years. Those of us in the field at dealership level knew about it and said so many times. If we knew, I doubt it seriously Marry Barra didn't.
It is not like she is some outsider they brought in from the left field.
Her denials will catch up with her and she will look as foolish as Louis Lerner.
I believe I did mention about the outlook for GM stock a while back.
How is GM shares doing relative to the IPO and the profits one could have made picking just about ANY stock in the last couple of years.
One would think, even the brain dead would have learned a lesson or at least listened to the contrarian opinions.
A lot of money is being made and MORE (lot more) will be made shorting GM.
This company will not survive, but who cares, There is a lot of profits between now and $1.74 a share.
Seriously. I hope you are wrong. Actually I KNOW you are wrong.
There is better than 70-80 percent chance GM will never see $40 in our life time. Unless there was a acquisition by a competent industry leader.
I am looking for mid $20's by Summer's end.
"Since '09, and I might have lost track a little bit, but toyoDUH has recalled nearly 40 MILLION hunks of junk globally!"
Toyota can afford it!
UBS, Morgan, Goldman, Barron's all did the same the last go around.
They wait for you and I to downgrade and THEN they jump on our band wagon.
Sometimes these things are so easy, it is scary.
GM is going to do more than just get downgraded.
They are going down! AGAIN!!
Feel free to mark this post.
At the mean time money begins rolling in again for those who have the stomach and don't look at shorting this company as some sort of a bad deed.
Who would I pick?
It wasn't my turn to pick the next GM CEO.
I certainly wouldn't have picked someone who has been there for over 30 years, high up enough to be eligible to be appointed the CEO, but yet so far down the ladder she doesn't know what was going on regarding this ignition key/and airbag fiasco.
Which is it? Has she been groomed for this position or is she some housewife who used to work at GM that became the CEO because it was her turn?
Still measuring the worth and the longevity of this company by the uptick on a given day I see. I would have thought you would have learned lesson from the last time.
NEWS FLASH: GM is doing great! The stock up .54 cents. Never mind the Billion plus liability and the criminal charges that are the light at the end of a very short tunnel. Carry on. This is a great roach company for roach investors who are too stupid to learn from the mistakes of others and their own.
Surely GM can't go bankrupt again, can it?
Stock market has been on a tear. One of the most prolonged Bull markets in history and all you can find in this haystack is the GM as your needle.
If you consider Barron's as being part of the Wall Street, you should remember their final word on GM when GM was clearly headed for bankruptcy.
Why would anyone think The Wall Street say anything different before they formulate their own exit strategy from GM. Just watch what those very same people will do with their holdings. They will speak softly and kindly about the GM shares until such time they no longer have it in their portfolio. THEN and only then they will start sounding like me.
I thought it was a SUPER SPORT Cobalt. Those you can hand two keys on the key chain. They are the high performance Cobalts.
