There was a lot of bickering over VOLT going back a few years. I said the car was a bust, many said it was the way of the future.
Obviously there WAS a market for electric cars. However there was no such demand for an electric car made by GM. After all these years of hype, VOLT-BOLT-JOLT- are nothing but pacifiers for bunch of DOLTS.
If GM doesn't have the wisdom to kill the electric car platform, TESLA will do it for them.
People want electric cars that go further on a charge than one runs on tightly wound rubber band cars. Only way GM will make its mark in the Electric Revolution is perhaps by putting a playing card with a a clothes pin on the wheel spokes of the VOLT. Children love those.
300,000 pre orders and still climbing.
I wonder how many years it would take GM to sell 300,000 VOLTS?
Probably about the time GM starts losing over $22,000 with each VOLT sale. Take a look at the shares of GM and TESLA and you tell me where the consumer and customer confidence is.
TESLA seems to be doing it all wrong. The way GM is going about Electric Cars is the way.. I get it. $1000 reservations as close to orders you are going to get. What was it? 182,000 in the first 24 hours. It beats the hell out of GM's way of counting interest in new models. "Hand Raisers" is what they call them I think.
I would love to know what exactly has to happen in the market place before the fanboys would admit to defeat and the failure of VOLT to have made a mark in the market place.
I have patience, I will wait until I hear the words,,,VOLT was a colossal mistake.
TESLA is so screwed up, isn't?
If you want to know if TESLA ambitions and plans are real or not,
Just Google "Gigafactory, Sparks NV" and click on the map of Sparks.. It is not an concept drawing. It is not architectural renderings. It is a real brick and mortar battery factory that is as big as anything you'll see and that is not counting the other buildings on the site.
You finally made Jehawky proud with your loss. You helped him with his perfect record of picking the losers, EVERYTIME. Well done.
Does this loss mean you will go into hiding again?
276,000 in three days. I am sure it is closer to 300,000 by the time you posted. You got me.. It was all a lie. They may top at 296,000.
You are a bona fide idiot if you didn't understand what was posted and felt like fact checking my numbers. Maybe you are right. Maybe I should have waited until tomorrow for my post to be airtight.
Lower price TESLA coming in at $42,000 a copy. I wonder how many VOLTS they will sell then,
Maybe Gen VII VOLT will be the TESLA killer.
I hope no one interned under him is his successor. It is time to get some fresh blood unless you want more of the same. I don't think anyone out there begging for more Cobalts and Azteks.
I don't know how much profit the "New GM" made. Hard to pin them down...They started with approximately $54 Billion of other people's money. So, let's say they have $60 Billion in on hand it will be easy to figure out. $6 Billion. If they have less than $54, that means they are living of the fat and eventually they will once again go broke.
TESLA is a promising new and fresh company. The share holders have all the hope in their future. Something GM share holders do not have on the company THEY have invested in.
We both can't be right. One of us have this figured out all wrong. I'll wait to see who that is.
I have a pretty good track record so far.
They are trying to bail out before it is too late. They KNOW what is coming down. They are not stupid. They are "insiders".
Not surprised.. What would be surprising is if jeye would apologize for calling me a liar for saying 300,000 when it was slightly below that.
Probably not. It is easier to give you the thumbs down for setting the record straight/
What small minded simpletons do we have here. Unable to articulate their views it is so much easier to click a "thumbs down" and feel like they have made a contribution.
Union people for you. No mind of their own. Just a vote. Let someone else do their talking and thinking for them. Easier that way.
One more thing person with no personality.
"duh" is not a punctuation mark. More you use it instead of a comma or a period, more you sound like a jeye.
That too must be another one of your mistakes.Glancing on this old message board I can clearly see you are not getting any better. Passing years are not being kind to you, Dumber than ever.
If I don't know what TESLA's production capability will be or when they will deliver 300,000 TESLA's I am the "dumb" one.?
The post was about the INTEREST in their cars and the lack of interest in GM electric cars. Had I known there would be a quiz or if I had remembered the IQ level on this message board I would have given you those numbers as well because you are too stupid and too lazy to look them up yourself.
I don't know WHEN they will deliver those cars but people are willing to wait which in itself will kill any uptick in GM's VOLT sales until TESLA delivers. If you are counting on TESLA to fail so they can sell 50 more volts and 20 more BOLTS you have very low expectations.
TESLA is gearing for 500,000 per year production numbers. If you take a look at the SPARKS, NV "GIGAFACTORY" Google Earth View maybe you can guess along with the rest of us if they CAN or CAN'T deliver on their promises,
Tipped their hands? To WHAT?
GM is going to rush and build one before TESLA does that will kill TESLA?
You are hopeless, It must be that water you drink.
Like GM bailout?
Obama and Liberal Media are not the ones placing their "reservations" for a TESLA, It is people like you. Union workers, retired dead weights, social workers and PE teachers. It is everyone! How else do you get to 400,000 orders?
They are gearing for 500,000 a year. Maybe they will be over capacity, maybe they will wish they had built a bigger factory. We'll have to wait to see. SO far so good.
GM has beaten TESLA in one significant way so far. They beat TESLA to bankruptcy.
Getting stuck on the freeway during what was supposed to be a 45 minute drive for over 3 hours on a hot day or night with the lights and AC on listening to radio with the wipers going will turn that "commuter car" into a "parked car"!
All those "profits" you speak off, didn't seem to have helped them to avoid bankruptcy. Did it? TESLA a "trendy company". Sue it is. That is precisely why GM is still struggling. They seem to avoid being trendy and hip and cool. They seem to wallop in being stale and old. To you that is a good thing.
It is not.
Apple did not become the company it is by buying and selling things and technologies that don't work well. They'll pay a premium for ideas that are innovative, serious and leaders in their class. They are not into bargain hunting or dumpster diving.
