When you were a kid, you liked to show off that new bag of marbles, but this watch craze will confirm the fact that you are an idiot....

One of these days they're going to run out of those classic grilles. Then what are they going to do?? 33 Ford had a beautiful grille. Maybe RR can copy that one for awhile. It would definitely be an improvement.
Many years ago, i had a nice 33 Ford 4-dr. body, frame and rare Potter Trunk. i needed a stock grille and hood. They're both different than the 34 and even very hard to find back then. i saw an ad for the 33 parts in a small flyer out Ca. i ended up buying a beautiful grille and hood for 1200 bucks. The seller?? Boyd Coddington. Many years later his television show was so full of employee turmoil with duane in charge, that i wrote Boyd a note thanking him for the parts just to rub it in a little bit....

Good movies are hard to find these days. Turner classics are cool. i've gone to 3 movies in about 25 years and have never rented a movie. If you don't like what's happening in la la land, don't put money in their pockets. Avoid that garbage like the plague....

i taped an old (77?) Who concert on television a few weeks ago and before that an old Led Zeppelin concert. The two best bands ever and in their prime. Jimmy Page did a LONG solo and the drummer matched that. Incredible stuff. i also taped "The Call" concert the other night. i never heard of them before, but that was also a GREAT one hour concert. It was dedicated to the lead singer, who died but the new guy is amazing....

It would be much nicer if he would stay in there. You can't do a whole lot of damage in a closet. he could try on his wifes shoes, but that's about it....

Gone for good?? It might be a good idea if it is gone for good. Too many crazy people out there that don't have a whole lot going on in their life, but a bad attitude....

It could be a pain for body shops, but i would guess that most of them have a mig welder to weld steel and aluminum. The heavier gauge aluminum is easy to weld, but the light gauge?? A little more practice is involved there....

    The good ol days:
    eqix at 55 cents
    inap at 20 cents
    cnqr at 35 cents
    tso at 3 bucks
    os..oregon steel at 5 bucks
    vixl at a buck
    oxy at 16
But being a rookie, i didn't have enough sense to hold on to them.
That's LIFE. We have to enjoy it while we can and then hopefully move on to much bigger things.
Stopped in local AZO store yesterday and picked up a couple rear Gabriel shocks for my 77 Trans Am for 50 bucks. The good deals are still out there and PRAYER costs you nothing, but a few minutes. The good ol days are in front of us, if we take the time to talk to GOD....

299 Grateful Dead concerts in a hippy van and your brain still works??

i bought it from Brother Brucie, who restored it in 64. He painted it a dark blue body and from the belt line up, painted it black, along with the fenders and headlight buckets. Synthetic enamel was his weapon at the time. He later had engine trouble and parked it in a airplane hanger for many years. i bought it about 15 years ago for 5 grand. What do you do with a 35 mph car with 2 wheel brakes?? i kept the body, fenders, frame, chromed radiator shell with its beautiful Indian Head ornament and sold all the other parts through Old Cars for 3500 bucks. Now i had a zero rust, mint body & clear title for 1500 bucks. The 2-dr. sedan had rear side windows that would hit the wheel wells with 5 1/2" of glass exposed, so i chopped the top 5 1/2", which allowed the rear side glass to come down all the way. i didn't want that extreme chop on the windshield, so i had enough room to cut 1 1/2' above the front and back glass, so they ended up with a chop of 4". Pretty simple stuff and most of it hammer welded. i boxed the frame, put in a widened, Total Cost Involved IFS with rear mounted rack, 9" rear, rebuilt 350 Chev/400 combo, took all the paint off the body and went the K200, DP90 & blue/black Deltron route. PPG & Sata-jet rock. i found some Pontiac front buckets and an expert friend did the seats in blue, pleated cloth. i've driven it, but it's about 40 hours from the road. i've spent hundreds of hours in it with the dogs, listening to a fine low-buck stereo/cd unit. The dogs go crazy when i open the drivers door. It'll be on the road soon. You can't beat old cars and Motorbikes as you all know....

i would say that the vast majority of the rich guys and gals work hard for their money and support the economy with their very expensive and exotic toys in the their garage.

The guys and gals in the middle also work hard for their money and also should be able to have that NICE, white, 5700 dollar 77 TransAm in their garage along with that 1927 Pontiac 2-dr. sedan, chopped top, dk. blue/black street rod and that 1947 Rock-Ola Jukebox, without some knucklehead crying in their beer about it. The only caveat being that they also give GENEROUSLY to the poor, through food banks or other honest organizations. my humble opinion of course....

    Renault shares up 9% today

Does Renault still make cars?? A funny story....i worked at Boeing for a few years in the late 60's and needed a car right away and a friend sold me his 64 Renault Dauphine for 100 bucks. Not a bad deal since it had a newer 100 dollar tape deck in it. i drove it for a year and sold it for 75 bucks and bought something else. A year later that other car died, so for some crazy reason i looked in the Times for another Renault and bought one late one night for 125 bucks. The next morning i woke up and noticed the indian blanket in the back seat. It was the same car i sold for 75 bucks a year earlier. i think Renault did make a few good cars. i bought a nice Caravelle Convertible in 1970 for 600 bucks back in Mandan and it was probably the only one in the state. i bought a 4 dollar case of Carlings Black Label Beer for Brother Brucie and he painted it a nice Silver Metallic. my first car was a blue 51 Merc Convertible that i bought for 80 bucks in Bismarck. It's too bad those 100 dollar cars are thing of the past, but what a good time it was....

A few miles north of Seattle and in the beautiful city of Edmonds, we've been heating our house with wood for 35 years. This is the first year that we've seldom had to add wood during the day and if keeps up, it'll be a 1.5 cord winter. How would you like to heat your house all winter for 225 bucks??
On the business side and in 19 years and over 9600 jobs completed, we've only had ONE bad check and that guy didn't live in Edmonds. That gives you an indication of the quality people that live in this area....

There are evil people everywhere and you might want to take a long look in the mirror in that respect. It's all about the Sacraments and in 30 years, i've missed Sunday Mass and and Holy Communion (The Body and Blood of CHRIST) 3 times. There are too many goofballs out there that talk about subjects they know nothing about....

my Son and i have a garage door company in Edmonds and i've been talking stocks with customers for many years. The one guy that stands out above the rest is one customer who said that he always buys a thousand shares. i asked him if he ever bought MSFT and he replied that he put in a buy order at their IPO and missed it by 25 cents. i asked him if he bought it later and he replied that "He never chases a stock". YIKES!! He did buy one local company that i mentioned and if he still owns it, it would relieve a little of that pain. Contrary to popular belief, the customer is not always right....

Every other religion is false and has no more credibility than if i would start a religion tomorrow. my humble opinion of course....
