i watched it over the weekend on the VELOCITY channel. Barrett-Jackson prices everywhere. A Shelby 67 Fastback Mustang with a one-only 427 engine sold for 1.3 million plus commission. What does the insurance cost that guy to park the car in his garage??
Unkl Les worked for the post office back in Mandan until he retired. He also rented a couple hundred acres south of town and worked it for a few years. He had a green 50 Chev pickup. Now those restored Chev, Ford and GMC pickups are selling for 35-40 grand. I wonder if those buyers ever drove a stock 50 Chev pickup??
"CHASING CLASSIC CARS" on the VELOCITY Channel if you love classic cars. i've got 39 shows recorded and not one of them will rot your eyeballs....
You shouldn't be watching braindead, septic tank television. It'll rot your eyeballs and your Soul....
i made the mistake of going there on a Saturday morning. Lowe's and Home Depot still rule and their inventory is amazing....
505 horse 7.0L, 427 cubes, all aluminum beast. Six-speed stick, 3.91 rear gears, 15.5 and 15.3 inch carbon-ceramic brakes with Brembo six-piston calipers and some nice Pirelli tires thrown in. 60+K might be a little steep, but what a car....
i've got a 79 and a 77 factory black, 4-speed Camaro. Both needing a little work, but the cars aren't bringing enough $$$$ to spend much money or time on....
The poor guy has driven TSLA stock over 90, while trying to drag it down. GM could use a few kbodie's around here....
The only thing ford makes that's worth looking at is the Mustang and that Market is saturated. Those little cars they make are a joke and their truck line isn't much better. That's why the stock stinks....
This stock needs you to get to 100 smackers....
He said almost all the tankers now fill up at the Arco terminal, which comes down the pipeline from the Arco (BP) refinery in Anacortes. He said some of the tanker trucks would also add a little additive from 55 gallon barrels, but not enough to mention when you're filling 10,000 gallon tankers.
Arco gas rules around here. Ten cars at the Arco station and two idiot drivers at the chevron station paying 30 cents a gallon more. i've used Arco gas for over 20 years in everything i drive, including two 79 Ford, half-ton, long box work trucks with 460 engines and have never had a gas related problem. i have an LLP business, along with my Son, and after 8500 jobs completed, i can honestly say that we HAVE NEVER RIPPED OFF A CUSTOMER. chevon rips people off every minute of the day and they have no conscience...
Crude oil prices have come down recently and gas prices have risen sharply in the last three weeks. What gives?? Ripping GOD's Children off will put a world of HURT on you in the end....
Can you say "Go Go Goog"??
Just to repeat a msg i put on here a few months ago....
Toyota and Honda in the United States and throughout the world....
Don't look for anything out of the ordinary. EVERYTHING obama TOUCHES TURNS TO #$%$. the poor, hapless person thanks GOD on one hand, while the other hand holds a dagger, dripping with the BLOOD OF THE HOLY INNOCENTS....
kbodie, please put that fork down. Fill your mind with the good times you've had. Over on the GM board, you said you had a small pickup. i think it was a Luv. Think about that Saturday afternoon when you went down to Ace Hardware and bought a can of Carnauba wax. Remember how nice that Luv looked when you finished her wax job. Remember that blind guy who came by and told you how nice your Luv looked. When you were finished, you went in the house and had a bowl of Post Toasties, so remember that FABULOUS Saturday. Lux pickup....Ace Hardware....Carnauba wax...Blind man compliment....&....Post Toasties and you will be fine for 24 hours....and then pick the fork back up....

One of the firewood brothers pulled an old Citroen out of the brush to put it out of its misery at the metal yard. The body was totally rusted out and filled with spiders, but the bumpers and full cone wheel covers were made of stainless and looked real nice. Anyone want a full hubcap for a Citroen?? Was there ever an uglier car made??
Frank was the owner and the best boss anyone could have. He was totally laid back and a perfectionist. Every Bird had to be straight enough for Black. He worked in a separate building from painter John and myself, so we only saw him a couple times a day. He took the cars apart, put them on a rotisserie and when the body was painted, assembled everything to factory specs. Every Bird had a punch card that we would clock in on and he would bill the customer every two weeks. He came over one day and told me the bodyman before me had the bodies, skirts, continental kit etc, ready for primer in 98 hours and wondered why it took me 108 hours to beautify those bodies. i told him i had to have that extra cup of coffee or two each day, but in reality when you undressed those ladies, they were rough. Painter John would be waiting to cover them with PPG K-200 primer and then block them with 80 grit paper. 80 grit paper leaves ugly scratches in primer and i complained to him about using such coarse paper for the first blocking. He said "that's the way we always have done it". Even though we always used activated materials, you still didn't want to block it in 80 grit, but that fell on deaf ears and it was kind of a slap in the face. Big John was a good painter though. On occasion, he would start the day with a few hits of weed. One day he painted the roof on a 56 black, instead of white and Frank was "Hot". i don't know if the wacky tabacky was the reason, but if Frank knew what went down, Big John would have been down the road. Frank was THE T-BIRD MAN and was nationally known and every car rivaled Amos Minter in quality and beauty. Frank also had a couple F-Birds at the time, which was very cool....
CNQR at a buck seventy and the stock started to take off shortly after. i know biggs would never invest in a stock like that. That's not in his playbook, but sometimes you have to throw the playbook out the window....
i'm not a kazionaire like you, but i always carry 3 or 4, 50 dollar bills in one pocket and smaller bills, with a large paper clip, in the other pocket. It's a whole lot more convenient to pay cash. It's the AMERICAN WAY....what the heck is a debit card??
i always buy groceries at Safeway, while the Wifey goes to Costco. She was a vegetarian, so most of our meals have vegetables and she can always put a nice meal together in just a few minutes. Chicken Breasts, Gold Potatoes and vegetables is just one of many and that is a GOOD meal. Last summer we also were able to pull over 30 nice, large Spaghetti Squash and a lot of Zucchini out of her small garden. LIFE IS GOOD....THANK GOD....
on the grounds, wearing only paper masks for protection, and i mentioned on this board that they should be wearing dual-cartridge respirators. Those paper masks fall far short of protecting your lungs. i worked in a 55-57 T-Bird restoration shop, along with the painter and the owner. All the work was body-off frame restorations and i did all the mud work and it was 9 months in Purgatory. i also worked in other street rod shops and never did mud or paint work without a dual-cartridge respirator on. my lungs were worth much more than any car i worked on. Now you see guys on television sanding away and sometimes breathing that dust in without any protection. Apparently, they were not fortunate enough to have a Respiratory Therapist/RN for a wife. Some of those workers on 9/11 are now having lung problems and it could easily have been avoided with a 25 dollar respirator....
It's getting to be the American Way. Personally, i wouldn't like to see any JCP store close down. Kick it in gear and turn things around....
