mr. obama is a great man?? YIKES! The world is full of idiots....

Does anyone really believe the union cares about it's members?? They care about POWER and they care about MONEY. If they didn't, they wouldn't steal from workers and give it to lunatics like obama, pelosi, reid and all the rest. The union is self-serving and it's a shame they've turned into that....

GTO's were built by PONTIAC and if you take care of them, they will be running down the road when you are six feet under or in a jar. The three engine thing sounds too HOKEY to believe....

No, he's a power hungry, egomaniac who wants to rule the world. In other words, he's a LOSER. Years ago, i mentioned that "everything he touches turns to C....R....A....P". If leadership doesn't get it's act together, the dollar will also be spelled with 4 letters....

  • The guy is a heck of a good carpenter and he drives a 2000 something Ford truck. It's a LOUD one and makes a good alarm clock when he drives to work at 7 a:m. It's a newer Ford, so it's in shop alot. Those things are not the easiest creatures to diagnose. i bought my 79 Ford half-ton, long box, 460, C6 at 49k original miles and now have 193k miles on it and it's only been in the shop once. Good Buddy Transmission Dave changed the fluid and filter in the C6. i try to change the oil & filter in the 460 every 10,000 miles or so and it still runs strong. Old 70's Ford Trucks are hard to beat....

    Burn oil ===== be happy

Using oil does not make 90% of the population guilty. It's the other 10% that's making all the noise. Of those 10%, probably .005% would take the time and effort to burn wood. A Fisher Mama Bear stove has been heating our small house for almost 40 years. We have no other heat source on the main floor. In those early days, i could buy Maple, Fir or Alder for 75 bucks a cord and two cords would last a winter. Now GOOD wood costs anywhere from 150-280 a cord, depending on who you know. The answers are not found in doing away with oil and coal, like those lunatic 10% would have you believe. ms. tarbottom of the sierra club would have have a hard time finding enough light to find her toilet paper, if she and her ilk had her way....

Nothing else ford has made is worth looking at, including their truck line. Brother Brucie was a Ford guy his whole life. A body and paint guy and later was the Yardmaster at Burlington Northern in Sheridan. He bought a 57 Ford Convertible in 59 and drove it for 40 years until he died. He also had a 49 Merc Convertible at the same time, while Brother Gare had a 50 Merc Convertible and i had a 51 Merc Convertible all at the same time. Brucie would turn over in his grave if he saw the junk ford was making these days....

how many on this board are driving GM made cars?

    by mgvidpro Mar 18, 2014 4:28 AM
    mandan14shooter mandan14shooter Mar 24, 2014 1:53 AM Flag

Driving now?? A white 77 Trans Am and it is a sweetheart.
    Driving soon??
A 27 Pontiac 2-dr sedan, chopped top, IFS street rod. 350 engine, 400 turbo trans and a 9" Ford rear end.
79 Trans Am with T tops.

    Project GM's??
    77 & 79 factory black Z28 Camaro 4-speed cars.

    High school cars??
    A burgundy 53 Chev 4-dr. lowered custom.
A white with a red spear 55 Chev 2-dr post. 3 speed on the floor and tri-power. A strong running 301 engine and jacked up in the front. The engine wouldn't turn over, so i stole it for 150 bucks and all it needed was a head gasket on one side. It was tough looking car.
A nice 54 Olds 2-dr hardtop and traded it for a lt. blue/white 56 Chev 2-dr post, 265 with a 3 speed on the column. Cool kids didn't drive an Olds in our town.

    After high school??
    A nice white 65 Chev 2-dr hardtop.
A 69 Chevelle wagon and gave it to the wife to drive.
A 33 Buick 3- window coupe. i replaced the rotted wood floor with 16 gauge steel, Chopped the top and suicided the doors. 33 parts are very hard to find, but i picked up a NICE grille through Hemmings for 250 bucks.
A 57 harbor blue rolling shell Convertible.
GM ruled the world in the 50's and into the 60's....

The man is mad as heck and should be. This CRAZY gov't is totally out of control and there's 17, going on 18 to who knows how many TRILLION reasons to change leadership. You can't spend your way out of a SINKHOLE. obama & company are that sinkhole.
i like to support the small, local lumber yard, but their prices are higher and their supply is limited. i had to go to HD to get a few rolls or roll roofing and flashing material the other day and the store was PACKED on a weekday afternoon. HD still ROCKS....GO FRANK GO....

customer surveys at Sears are lies!

    by rjbizjr1313 Jan 23, 2014 11:23 AM

There has never been an unhappy customer at a Sears store dating back to 1963. There might have been one before that date, but it is extremely unlikely....thank you....

  • Every few years, i drive back to Billings to visit Brother Gare and ride around in his White 56 Chrysler 300 and empty his garage Coke machine full of beer. Then drive on to Mandan to visit friends. The only hardware store in town has had a "Going out of Business" sale for at least ten years. i walked through there one time and they had a 30' Stanley Tape on sale for 22 bucks. Thank goodness there's a Home Depot or Lowes' these days or we'd still be paying those crazy prices....

we picked up a new account with a few hundred garage doors and we fixed five doors the other day. One of them was their work shop and it had two larger doors and a walk-in door. Both doors had a broken torsion spring. i noticed the existing wall buttons were over the TOP OF THE WALK-IN DOOR, so i moved them down for easy access. my Son started his once a month mouth-off, saying the lead handy-man didn't want them moved. i said the guy never mentioned anything about the wall buttons. my Son is the HARDEST worker i've ever seen. He'll work hard all day and never take a break. He finally shut up and the two handy guys came back and were very thankful. The garage doors weren't working since the new management bought the place three months ago. i also mentioned that i moved the wall buttons down and they both agreed that it was a good move. Go figure....

  • What else can compete with such excellence?? Put a Sears Catalog in your glove box today and try it on for size....

Years ago, i bought a harbor blue 57 Chev Convert from my bost, T-Bird Frank. It was a roller and had a decent body, but no engine or trans. i already owned a NICE white 57 Ford Convertible that was parked in the garage, so i put the Chev in the paper to sell. A guy showed up the first day about 8 P:M to take a look at it. After about 15 minutes, i knew was a talker/looker. He had been drinking and asked me if i wanted a beer. Of course i replied in the positive, so he went out to his car and brought in what was left of a 12 pack.
My house is full of old religious prints. Almost all of them are ones i've never seen before. One is a 48x22" Zabateri print of the Last Supper in a nice old frame that i paid 65 bucks for. That Zabateri work is AMAZING and judas holding a small bag of coins. Very Cool. The overflow of prints/pictures went into the garage also.
The looker noticed a Beautiful print of Mary, the Blessed Mother of JESUS, and he replied "i wouldn't xxxx on the best part of her". Earlier, he said that he wanted to start a church. Since 99.999% of religions/churches were started by KNUCKLEHEADS, that was par for the course. A little later he asked me why i didn't get mad about that statement about Mary. i asked him what he would do if i said that about his Mother? He replied something to the affect that "a few fists would be flying. i replied that he shouldn't expect such a warm response from JESUS....
