i would guesstimate that way too many used those same words to describe hitler and obama....

  • Many years ago i worked at a Tbird restoration shop in Renton, Wa. There were three of us plus Frank the owner. Unfortunately, i did all the bondo work and all those cars had to be straight enough for Black. One morning i walked by the fab guy, who was hammer welding in the front half of the 56 rt front fender. i took one look at it and grabbed a tape measure. It was 3/4 of an inch lower than the drivers side. Frank was a little upset and told him to punch out his time card on that car and fix the problem. He spent his lunch hour cutting it loose and re-welding it. He was a good welder, but he was gone a few days later. He asked me one time why i was putting mud over his lead work (which is not easy to do). i told him to get it straight and i wouldn't touch it.

The painter normally took a toke or three before doing a complete and ended up painting the 57 roof black, instead of white. Frank was the nicest boss i ever had in my life, but he was was HOT! If he had known the circumstances, the painter would have been down the road. It was a long 9 months slapping mud before he closed down that area, but body and paint work and customizing can be very rewarding, if you have enough sense to wear a dual-cartridge respirator. Too many of those guys on television wear nothing while sanding or just wear the paper masks and that is a not enough. Your lungs are worth more than any car on earth.......

Don't hang around the phone, waiting for a call. jeffy spends $$$$$$$$ like a crazed lunatic, instead of paying down debt. His crazy ideas, like those drones, are money out the window. Everyone with an IQ over 60 knows that debt is a KILLER and should be avoided like the plague. Buying a house or an inexpensive car are two exceptions to the rule....

i haven't gotten anything in the mail on my 27 Pontiac streetrod. i wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that car only had 2-wheel brakes?? That wouldn't be a safety hazard, would it??

for part of the Market upswing. It takes a lot of pressure off that crazy, lunatic stuff happening in the middle east. i bought 600 shares of oxy at 16 bucks a few years ago, but pushing buttons is a bad habit and one i would not recommend....

The N.W. stocks were pretty darn cool a few years ago. tqnt seemed like it stayed around 5 bucks for a long time. i bought inap at 20 cents and cnqr at 35 cents and a few more, but never held them long enough to amount to much. It was a fun time though. It would be nice to turn back the clock a few years.

That guy is about as funny as a stick in the eye. Of course that's coming from a guy who has only only been to 3 movies in 30 years and has never rented or bought a movie....

    The Bayside Messages.
Are they connected?? Time will tell.
i ran across the Messages back in the late 70's and jumped back on the right path. If you've been away from the Sacraments and the Church, you might want to get up on Sunday mornings from here on out. my humble opinion of course.

Then again, mr. obama said America has nothing to worry about....Yea, sure....

John D. was right on the money with the GTO, but was 64 really the FIRST muscle car with around 360 horses?? Ford had the 405 horse 406 in 62 and Chevy had the 425 horse 427 in 63. i think those two would definitely be ranked above the GTO. i had a black 69 Mach I, M code, 4-speed car for 21 years and now have a NICE white, shaker hood, 77 Trans Am and even though that Mach I was a nice, tight car, i would rather have the Trans Am. With the 400, the big "16 heads, the 350 auto with a nice shift kit and 373 gears in the rear end, it's just a blast to drive. They handle so nice and i was fortunate to pick that one up for 5700 bucks a couple years ago....

    The high school days started with a blue 51 Merc convertible for 80 bucks to a 62, 406 monster (2200 bucks), with quite a few in between. A white 55 chev 2-dr post (150 bucks), 56 2-dr post (traded a 54 Olds hardtop for it), a 50 Plymouth 2-dr wagon (100 bucks), a 29 Model A (175 bucks), a 35 Ford 2-dr sedan with a 56 Buick 322 nailhead (600 bucks), etc, etc before i graduated.
All our trucks are 77-79 Fords, so i'm still a Ford guy at heart, so when i started the business 19 years ago, i said a prayer to my Buddy St. Joseph and asked him for a good phone number. He gave me one that was pretty to beat. The last four numbers are 5740....they don't come much better than that....

All of those trucks have the 460-C6 combo and they are bulletproof and easy to work on. The half-ton 460's are very rare. The gas mileage is not much worse than an overworked 351M/400 variety that is grossly underpowered....

i've bought three of them lately:
77, F250, long box, two tone green, 78k original miles, 460-C6 and is in near mint condition.
    79, F150, long box, red/white, 80k original miles, 460-C6 and she is a beauty.
79, F150, long box, dk blue/silver, 144k original miles, 460-C6 and is a nice, tight driver.

my daily work truck is a 79, F150, long box, bought at 49k original miles and now has just under 200k miles and the engine has never been apart. She still runs like a Swiss watch.

All of them bought for under 3200 bucks each.
Have you driven a REAL Ford Truck lately??

i have a few Trans Ams (77,78 & 79) and i kept the 79 in a makeshift tent and finally had room in the garage to move it. i put a battery in it, turned on the key, pumped the gas a few times and it started right up, WITHOUT PRIMING THE CARB. Old PONTIACS are very COOL and the Trans Am doesn't get the $$$$ respect it deserves. They are a fun ride....

i ran across these in the late 70's and they made sense to me at the time. As a cradle Catholic, they also were responsible for getting me back to Sunday Mass and Holy Communion and i think i've missed Sunday Mass three times in all those years. my wife never believed them, but she was a convert shortly after that time. i think that one of the messages said that a great outbreak of disease would occur and to avoid that, to go to Mass and Holy Communion 9 Saturdays in a row or something to that effect. we were able to do that, but everyone has an opinion, but you have to look at it and decide for yourself, especially these days where sin is the most popular game on earth. my humble opinion of course....
