"I was just looking at CPST's revenue; looked at annual, then quarterly...then looked at just the last four quarters....CPST has boosted their revenue more than 48% in those last four quarters. I've little doubt that we'll see a similar performance over the next four quarters and it would seem analysts are way off the beam for when CPST goes in the black. I wouldn't be surprised, with all the new orders, to see CPST show the first of many quarters of rising profits come June."

TY for posting, stkanalyst. You don't post very often, but when you do, you are informative and an excellent analyst.

    From "The Street" - Yesterday................

"5 Stocks Under $10 Ready to Explode" BY Roberto Pedone| 04/17/14 - 02:29 PM EDT

"One under-$10 industrial electric equipment player that's starting to move within range of triggering a near-term breakout trade is Capstone Turbine (CPST_), which engages in developing, manufacturing, marketing and servicing microturbine technology solutions for use in stationary distributed power generation applications worldwide. This stock is off to a hot start in 2014, with shares up sharply by 65%.

If you consult the chart for Capstone Turbine, you'll see that this stock recently pulled back off its 52-week high at $2.60 to its recent low of $1.91 a share. That low took shares of CPST right below its 50-day moving average and the stock has subsequently started to bounce higher back above that key technical level. Shares of CPST are now starting to uptick and move within range of triggering a near-term breakout trade.

Traders should now look for long-biased trades in CPST if it manages to break out above some near-term overhead resistance levels at $2.22 to $2.32 a share with high volume. Look for a sustained move or close above those levels with volume that hits near or above its three-month average volume of 7.72 million shares. If that breakout gets underway soon, then CPST will set up to re-test or possibly take out its next major overhead resistance level at its 52-week high of $2.60 a share.

Traders can look to buy CPST off weakness to anticipate that breakout and simply use a stop that sits right below that recent low of $1.91 a share. One can also buy CPST off strength once it starts to smash above those key resistance levels with volume and then simply use a stop that sits a comfortable percentage from your entry point."

Meet karrlsam, or as I prefer to call him, karrlsham.
He claims to be a longtime CPST shareholder; except he never posts anything w/o taking a CPST-trashing potshot at Capstone in some way shape or form.
One of his favorite tactics is to post how every other company in the world does everything better than Capstone Turbine, even though Capstone Turbine is taking business away from some of the largest companies in the World.
    Do your own DD.
Start by going to CPST website and related sites and see for yourself.

karlsham, cricketman85, turnip.blossom, wwtravel99, timmy_turbine, alybotz, sternbeachlime, crapstoneturbine, mollyflore, mollygalore and all their other bashing IDs have nothing but bad intentions for CPST investors.

    Take that to the bank!

Karrlsham, you have claimed to be long CPST for years, while constantly berating CPST.
IMO, you are a liar, a phony and a fraud, karrlsham.

"Capstone Follow-On Order for 10 Microturbines Signals Smooth Sailing for Super Yachts"
CHATSWORTH, Calif., June 5, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Capstone Turbine Corporation (Nasdaq:CPST), the world's leading clean technology manufacturer of microturbine energy systems, expands its presence in the marine market with a follow-on order of 2 C65 and 8 C30 Capstone Microturbines from German based Microturbine Marine Energy (MME), which recently entered into an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Capstone.
The ultra-low emission, diesel-fueled units are for use in a marine auxiliary application. Auxiliary power plays a crucial role on luxury yachts and commercial vessels, providing power for navigation, communication and computer systems; on-board lights; heat; galley and elevator operations; helicopter landing pads; and more.
MME's follow-on order comes at the culmination of a successful year-long operation of a Capstone C30 aboard the Royal Huisman "Lethantia," a 44-meter (144-foot) schooner. With the C30, the Lethantia was the world's first super yacht to run with a Capstone microturbine powered MME generator.
"What we got with the microturbine was exactly what we dreamed of," said Siegfried Steiner, Lethantia's owner and MME CEO. "This system provides responsible yacht owners sustainable energy without compromise to the comfort and enjoyment of the onboard experience."
"I had great hopes of what might be achieved with a microturbine system, but the results totally exceeded my expectations," he added. "There is absolutely no vibration, no exhaust noise, and no smell. It's almost like operating continuously on batteries without the need for recharging. I feel I have finally come back to the simple pleasures and tranquility of sailing as it used to be."

SUNRISE YACHTS 68M SUPERYACHT "PROJECT SKYFALL"
Antalya-based yacht builder Sunrise Yachts will deliver John and Jeanette Staluppis nineteenth and largest project to date in 2017. Project 'Skyfall', designed by Vallicelli & Co., with an interior design by Focus Yacht Design and naval architecture by Mulder Design and OYD, is packed with new technologies. Worth Avenue Yachts, who have been advising the clients, will be following up on the projects construction until delivery in 2017.

"There are some yachts that become game changers, that alter the desires and aspirations of future designs simply becoming the way of the future: this is one of those yachts". stated Peter Thompson. Project Skyfall is a fast displacement, steel hull and aluminum superstructure, transatlantic luxury motor yacht designed to meet the owners particular requirements in terms of esthetics, speed and comfort. In line with the owners spirit of innovation that has produced many groundbreaking yachts, Project Skyfall will feature a host of technologies never combined in a yacht project before. To name but a few: the Voith Linear Jet propulsion system offering performance, reliability and silence and the MME microturbines, the power generating solution of the future.

Vallicelli & Co, one of Italys most prominent naval architects and yacht designers, who combine extensive experience in both sailing and motor yachts, have created a design of remarkable proportions. Andrea Vallicelli explains: “The originality of the style, playing with harmonious contrasts between soft and rigid formal elements, is clearly noticeable in the sheer-*‐line. Moreover, the low angle of the transom slope, reminiscent of a racing sailing yacht, and the long forward overhang help Project Skyfall to be a very slender yacht, although she has no less than five decks”.

The interior design is entrusted to the talent of Bremen‐based Focus Yacht Design, who are currently working with the shipyard on a 63-meter

    TY, moonman!

By Jeff St John on 17 February 2014

Here’s a sobering thought for US utilities and grid planners seeking solutions for a future filled with distributed, customer-owned energy assets: that future is already here.
That’s one way to look at a striking chart presented at the DistribuTECH smart grid conference last month. It indicates that distributed energy resources (DER), far from being a tiny fraction of the country’s massive central generation fleet, may account for up to one-third of the total US electricity supply by decade’s end.
But there’s a catch – this supply isn’t mostly made up of rooftop solar PV, or homes and business equipped with modern energy-saving, peak-shaving demand response technology. While those resources are growing fast, by far the biggest share of this untapped DER resource comes in the form of two decidedly un-sexy technologies: combined heat and power (CHP) systems and rarely used backup generators.
Here’s the chart, provided by former Southern California Edison smart grid chief and Cisco connected grid CTO Paul De Martini during a presentation hosted by grid software startup Bit Stew on the future of distribution grids:
    Lots more…………

Even so, there are ways that CHP systems could begin to play a much more useful role as the foundations of microgrid systems, able to offer always-on power consumption flexibility to utilities and grid operators, as well as to take themselves off-grid during emergencies. Almost all the large-scale microgrid systems that kept running amidst grid outages during Hurricane Sandy were centered around CHP systems, and New York and Connecticut are looking to invest millions of dollars to create more storm-resilient microgrids.

In Testing by Kenworth & Peterbilt -

"Capstone is currently working with three different truck OEM’s on range extended electric vehicles. Kenworth has finished its first round of in house testing and is in the process of making design modification to increase the expected mileage of the truck. These changes primarily revolve around the size of the batteries and charging cycles. The Peterbuilt truck is currently being manufactured and should be completed in the next 60 to 90 days. Wrightspeed has successfully completed its in house development-testing program and currently has two medium duty fleet trucks built and is currently providing customer demonstrations and making commercial offers."
