Bend over INTC Semper Fi, there's something The Bear's gotta do. If yer nice and don't complain, he'll be gentle .....maybe.
marco the super genius : - ))))) A Bear's gotta do what a Bear's gotta do
2cents, my WAG is the debt will trade as low as 30/$1.00, making the debt about 3-4 billion, where it would be highly profitable for a venture firm to arrange the buyout. Warren Buffett just started the energy grab with Phillips, and some of these companies are looking like golden opportunities. The trick is to scare the bondholders and park stock for the LBO vote. That shelf offering will probably be the key to parking the required shares. I'd start watch the SEC reports for 5% disclosures.
marco the super genius : - ))))) It's all up to the accountants to make LINN look bad on the next earnings report. I doubt management will let shareholders get much of anything in the process. A lot of senior managers lost BIG on this stock and grabbing what's left is one way they can make some back.
if wimpy_weaver keeps on singing the praises if INTC? Okay, here's the straight skinny folks: bad hair day for the little, innocent puppy. Here's why. Every time wimpy posts more useless jive about how great INTC is, we're gonna extract an ounce of blood from the lovable, furry, playful little guy. Yep, that's right, wimpy will be responsible for bleeding this adorable little puppy to death one ounce at a time.
marco the super genius : - ))))) The little fellow's name is Chippy, and he's happy, happy, happy......for now. Go ahead wimpy, make this little puppy's day, I dare ya.
Absolutely agree, probably a Dutch auction coming up soon. Always a good idea to buy back debt at significantly reduced prices if ya have the means to do so.
However, the lower the debt, the greater the risk that somebody might be talked into a management led LBO, probably with an existing lender who can take advantage of the opportunity. This is managements opportunity to take full advantage of the share price and scared bondholders. In fact, that's probably the game plan since they want to suspend the dividend instead of significantly reducing it. Ellis is clever like the fox.
marco the super genius : - ))))) If I were part of this management team and they didn't try it, I'd be quite upset. Management owes the shareholders nothing, everybody does it and it's legal. It's just business.
Oh, it's so cute, and it really like to sit in your lap when it wants to go to sleep. What an adorable little dog.
Okay, what does cute little Linnko have to do with LNCO, huh? Anybody? Okay, here's the deal. If LNCO doesn't close red on Monday, we're going to, cut off one of its little paws. The same thing will happen on Tuesday if LNCO closes green. Guess what happens Wednesday? Yep, poor little pooch.
marco the super genius : - ))))) No more Mr. nice guy, if Yinz like dogs, and y'aii have shares, sell em all at the bid, and don't buy no more till Thursday, otherwise, poor little Linnko won't be so playful. Don't make us put the hurt on him.
In time critical applications FPGAs don't offer any significant benefit over traditional processors, especially considering the extra cost. IBM, however. is about 20 years ahead of INTC where it counts.
marco the super genius : - ))))) Six years from now that whole Altera asset will be written off as worthless, maybe less.
wimpy shorts with no guts worried about 2:30 tomorrow.
marco the super genius : - ))))) Don't worry, by Monday INTC will be a prime short again.
Like Moses, whom Gawd had given the 10 Commandments, Gawd gave his faithful servant Moore the transistor law which decried: Thou shout maketh unto me a doubling of transistors per chip every two years so that men might finish their labour faster and have more time to worship me.
Intel broke that Law, and now produces 2x every 30 months, angering Gawd who has taken vengeance upon his unfaithful servants who give themselves generous bonuses yet lack the will and ability to keep his Law.
marco the super genius : - ))))) Who knows what Gawd will do next, perhaps send INTC under $20.00 where these lazy, no good, law breaking, bums need to trade.
plunge under $1.00
plunge under $5.00 again
THE DREADED LBO
marco the super genius : - ))))) I've been warning y'all about this stock longer than the average life of a Japanese beetle. It don't seem to do no good. But, here goes: LNCO ain't cheap yet, iffin yer Long, WORRY!
Pat Robertson: Market malaise is God's punishment
Televangelist Pat Robertson says he believes the Dow Jones Industrial Average’s massive sell-off Monday morning was God’s way of punishing the Obama administration for supporting abortion rights and funding Planned Parenthood, not the reverberations of China’s stock-market crash.
“We will pay dearly as a nation for this thing going on,” he said, as flagged by Right Wing Watch. “And possibly if we were to stop all this slaughter the judgment of God might be lifted from us. But it’s coming, ladies and gentlemen,” the host of the “700 Club” said. “We just had a little taste of it in terms of the financial system, but it’s going to be shaken to its core in the next few months, years or however long it takes and it will hurt every one of us.”
marco the super genius : - ))))) wimpy_weaver repent and yew may be saved bro.
better yet, put yer order in for $19.50.
marco the super genius : - ))))) INTC's dividend rate needs to be at least 5% before it will out weigh the risks for falling revenue. Any think over $20 is lost money.
We're vastly over leveraged Dudes.
marco the super genius : - ))))) Deleveraging process continuing the rest of the weak. Friday 2:30 pm margin calls, hope yer ready wimpy from the tangled web y'all weavered.
That's BAD news for tomorrow's open.
marco the super genius : - ))))) As soon as the machines shut down @ 4:00, the AH S&P crashed and burned. Everyone bad mouths HFT when it crashes markets, but, nobody says a word when it saves markets.
