If the banking industry would have been as duly diligent as PHT overlords were 2000-2008, we'd never had a financial crisis. Said so couple years ago on their quarterly conference.
These guys need to have more faith in themselves. Moral to the story insiders are sometimes dead wrong
If this MREIT universe is unraveling at the same clip it went up in the go-go years 2009 - 2015 the prices in the title and the dividend or what I expect out of this kind of management. I'm not happy about it but I'll see you at those prices
didn't help management's credibility. These guys have a tendency to pay themselves first. Well, if they're using shares of NYMT they're paying themselves about $0.50 on the dollar because the little retail guy is on his way out the door. If you think this is bad wait till institutions have to balance their portfolios end of year and sell for tax purposes. Then you'll really see a bloodbath.
Not too happy about any of this
Opportunistic pricing ahead.
The upside is close to $16, and no, we're not in the same shape globally as we were in 2008 so I don't see us revisiting lowball 2008 pricing again. I'm nibbling right here and will acquire as long as the market continues to discount, up front, the entire 2% the Fed wants to raise overnight rates over the next two years, at a 1/4% a quarter. $10 is a really good price for a fund that is managed 10X than Gates ever did with PHK, for which this fund is always confused.
The fair market close for yesterday last day for the divvy, was $6.43, not $6.67. The divvy is always "assumed"--the stock today was off nine pennies. Yahoo contributes to the problem by not doing what it used to do--adjust for the divvy. The trading platforms do. Scottrade did.
Yahoobians remain idiots.
Yes today is the day AFTER the last day you could get the dividend. They post day of record, because some folks can actually squeeze a late buy in AH, so they want to make sure those folks are scoped up into the "you get the dividend" column. If you buy today, you wait 90 days.
That's how it always works.
Those holders might not be very happy, but i know what I'd do with that cash in this 25% discounted share scenario.
We are walking right into an interest rate pop in December that foretells, however slowly, 7 more over the next two years. Last week NYMT had a meeting published the graphs, but closed the doors to the public, unless you got on a plane.
I don't want to pay list price in a secretive and offputting environment. I want to hear plans on how they will structure to preserve capital, and the dividend, in this unfriendly environment to come.
Silence is not golden, and anybody with red marks can't handle or doesn't want to hear the truth.
I was wrong, I thought it was a different day. Nice to see the runup before the divvy . Just hope there isn't too massive a dump thereafter, you can expect the .24 cents to disappear from the stock price, and maybe another dime after that if history holds, just look at the share price history--and this time, we head into the headwind of rising interest rates, or at least by 2016, if the Fed doesn't balk.
My bad, today Wednesday the 23rd is the last day to purchase the stock and get the divvy. Rats.
Where did you learn not to breathe? NEAT TRICK!!! Hint: Your lungs are supposed to be pink, not black.
What it is.
Unless they confiscate the black box, the fix is impossible -- who forces an individual to be liable because the company defrauded them? Why we here in USA of course.
Looks like the Germans just lost the peace. Those black boxes are going to be worth a fortune on the black market.
Do you date a 60 year old because you have a picture of what she looked like, a knockout at 20???
Here's the deal on reality--VW's and especially AUDI's were always touted as being underscored when it came to power claims, that was the allure. Now that fraud has been revealed, and all those zoom zoom feelings that exceed specifications? They won't be reported out by Road and Track and all those gee whiz publications that were as much deluded.
You buy rolling sculpture and performance, not BS, and they've been hit right between the legs.
