I did say that USEG wouldn't give an explanation, no matter who called them. I was wrong. But I think you got it backwards and that you should put me on ignore. For the most part it is not you who is annoying me, it is the company. Didn't you just post that the company always lists their upcoming conferences on the website very late, right before they present. And then they cancelled as was the worry. Doesn't that annoy you? Apparently enough to call IR about it and get an excellent (?secret) response. Ignore away.

Richard, this is annoying. You chose to blurt out that you got an "excellent response" from IR. No one asked you to do that. You could have kept it to yourself.

More than 100 companies (many peers) signed up for the conference, got on the schedule, and will present. (I tried to post the list of presenters - Yahoo wouldn't let me do the link). It is a great opportunity to tell the story. I thought Keith's presentation at the last conference was the best he has ever done. The share price is still below the IPO price of years ago, and the "Buda, buda, buda" story is still underappreciated. Why wouldn't they want to take advantage of the opportunity and tell and sell the story.

You say there is a great reason. It is all about being predictable and transparent. Scheduling and then cancelling out on a conference is the opposite of that. Giving an excellent response to one caller asking why that happened also doesn't cut it. If they asked you not to share the reason on a message board, that would not be okay either. Why don't you share their reason and have a vote on whether it was a great response, or not?

I like Don's stuff too - I don't read all the local stuff that he references except here.
