I've been watching the whole thing and its beautiful. Corker spent most of his time discussing Fannie, Freddie and HLF. In the end Corker invited Ackman to talk further and now they are buddies. Ackman is great. And Pearson started off shaky but he's very good. They all hit it out of the park. A beautiful thing.
Good analysts don't show up for a .lunch time show to sell their book. Did you notice how he didnt mention that the increases across all 14 drugs were less than 10% except fro one which was raised 14.9%? That's good journalism by Scott Woppner
Legg Mason's Bill Miller thinks Valeant Pharma (NYSE: VRX) stock could double, according to Bloomberg.
UPDATE - He said he's been buying Valeant shares.
Miller is speaking at an investor meeting in Chicago.
News comes as Pershing Square's Bill Ackman recently got more involved with the company. The activist investor is largely positive on the stock and its prospects, and says outgoing CEO Mike Pearson is doing a good job during the transitional period. Ackman sees a new CEO being selected for Valeant in short order, though he didn't comment on whether the candidate would be internal or external.
Shares of Valeant spiked higher, but are still negative on today's session.
