That was a timely warning Silence. I too get tempted to recover losses here, but am glad I'm scared of this.
Verm would prefer to get a stipend and package of gov't cheese from Obama and continue to live rent-free in the shallow cellar of his mother's 1952 trailer home, with outhouse addition.
It's a $1 strike price. All MELA has to do is go above 1.16 between now and June 22 and I've got my profit in hand, and will then buy back on a dip.
If, for some strange reason, it doesn't get above 1.16 in the next month and a half, then I made the $.09 per share and still own the stock, probably above my purchase price.
If it drops, I've essentially averaged my cost per share down by the amount I rec'd selling the covered calls.
If anybody wants a little profit in hand, think about selling covered calls here. There aren't many times where the "gift" is this obvious.

This is heavy volume, so can be considered a "climactic blowoff" and we should move up from here....sometimes a sharpsnap up, and sometimes a slow lingering waiting for a catalyst.
I used the opp to buy some more....and am wishing I was more liquid, but c'est la vie.
Good luck gang

that "passel o' sales" in January , iffn you recall correctly seems to be at odds with the PUBLIC RECORD ....and IFFN I RECALL, they're obligated to report insider sales as well as purchases

Precisely put, Dr. Wang

I think it was an excellent report, factoring in "sequester."
Looks like momentum is building, and heading in right direction.
Might be an early buying opp this a.m. because net missed by a couple of cents. Idiots throw baby out with batwater and don't read report carefully. I'm hoping to pick up a few cheap.

in a word.....EXCELLENT
I'm still listening, but I'm seriously impressed. Tomorrow, I'm looking for a nice lot in the West Indies.....from the proceeds of a partial CYTK sale end of year
Sentiment: Strong Buy
You've got to learn how to square dance Verm/dansir....you're doing the "dosey do", when "allemande left" is what the caller wanted.
Get with the program while you still have "what to eat."
I'd expect we'll begin moving up next week. It takes time for news to "trickle down" with stocks that aren't widely followed. This is a good time to add.
I bought some today and will add at lower opportunities, which we may get for the next few days.
I'm looking for 10k by end of week.....not a huge stake, but I think appropriate for me here. We'll listen to conference call and see where we go from there
Sentiment: Buy
They are talking about profits, lack thereof and narrowing the loss as, they say, is expected by analysts.
Cytokinetics is not here to make a profit at this juncture, but to get the pipeline onto pharmacy shelves, and to continue to R&D for more pipeline candidates.
When heart muscle contractility is improved by CYTK, the word won't be profit....the word will be HUUUGE.
Buying then will be a LOT more expensive than it is now.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
What RS????? That's standard boilerplate with low price shares. They getthe board to approve a RS in case they need it. You haven't seen any sign of it have you?
It's what they call a "shelf resolution."
Get with the program. We're well above the need for any RS and we're well on our way to $2 prior to EOM.
My guess is we're going to be heady with good news after the conference call.

I can see that you're a genius.

How can you expect good fruit from a bad tree. Many of our leaders/politicians are opportunists, will-o'-the-wisps, untrustworthy and traitorous. How can you expect good fruit from a bad tree?
Some of the tfruit we've picked of late is the attempt to make law abiding citizens join, in essence, a gun registry, while the bad guys will ignore this as they do other laws, and soon, only they will have guns....In "They" I include Janet Napolitano!!!
Another piece of rotten apple is the attempt to equate the racism foisted on black folks over a couple of centuries here, with the desire not to have raging kweer activists turn the tables on marriage upside down.
Black folk have been co-opted into buying this pig in a poke, thus demeaning their plight and the efforts of such good people as Rosa Parks and Nelson Mandela.
More in the near future......notice the new me....not a kick in Piles'es direction. He's more a victim than a perp....a product of our serially failed social experiment called public schools.
More in the near future on that topic.
Suffice it to say, for the nonce (watch Verm climb on that word in this usage), that Piles is so poorly educated as to be unable to properly research home schooling results in the USA over the last 20 years, and what their graduates have achieved.
I'll stick by my rationale for owning and adding to my stake, mentioning that the "climactic blowoff" we had the other day made this an even better buy.
I was able to get some more at 1.05 but was out of cash for the drop to the .90s, but was able to buy another 2k at 1.03 on the way back up.
This is my second fave stock, as regards potential for a buck. When my other one matures, this will become NUMERO UNO. I'm adding as I can.
Roth is in at 1.23ish with a cost of 1.65 to cash in warrants, so they certainly see potential here.
The Terumo agreement should be yielding results already, and once that's announced with a $$ value, we'll be off to the races.
Next move after that will be analyst recommends, and then we'll be on our way. I'm thinking minimum $2 by end of Nov.

Well put, BT....I remember when the Pope begged Bush not to invade Iraq, as it would be an unjust agression. The Christians have largely been killed or fled Iraq, and the Shiites are killing the Suunis and the Kurds are making oil deals.
Christians are being killed in Libya and once we kick Asad out of Syria, the Coptics there will face the same terror they currently face in Egypt.
We backed the Muslims against the Christians in Kosovo, sacred ground to the Serbian Orthodox Christians.
We never learn. We have a Muslim president, or at least a fellow-traveller, and he'll support Netanyahu against Syria and Iran because it'll off the Christians.
Can't believe the America I grew up in has gone this far off the track.
teelk, you're exactly right......I see the 30s in the rearview mirror, and unfortunately, on the road ahead.....close ahead
The libs have their lies all orchestrated, e.g., 92% of Americans favor Obama's gun reform.....BUHloney....we're all for keeping guns out of the hands of mental defectives....like Janet Napolitano, and Son of Sam, but not the way Obama and Cuomo and Connecticut want to do it.
They've got the majority of the country mesmerized by Oprah, Dr. Phil, The View, Bill Maher, and Dear Abby.....as if these amoral types are fit to give ANYone advice.
Poor Piles....makes you actually feel sorry for him and his ilk.....mentally, educationally and spiritually deprived.
I think I'll start praying for them instead of bashing back. Verm may be right for a change. I haven't been acting like I profess. They are truly to be pitied.
Unfortunately, their ilk is driving the bus, and we're headed for the Grand Canyon with defective brakes.
May God Bless us all.
