Ever notice how your responses go to assumed shortfalls in the family jewels department? I wonder why this is.... Obviously there was something that happened in your formative years. You're certainly well-spoken, but the banter ought to go... how about a truce? I've been following Palatin for a number of years and have formed opinions on both sides of the fence. Not liking Spana is one of these opinions we may share as he's not acted entirely on behalf of shareholders and this is somewhat disappointing.

Ah..."The World According to Yanni" can't wait to read it on the wall of the local bar's rest room. The inadequacies are evident in your continuous attacks on men in general.

FSD is a huge issue (believe it or not!) and women across the world are stricken with this physiological/psychological condition. If Brem can help them in a safe manner with a reliable non-invasive delivery system then Brem will be a hit.

Yanni, not sure what world you're from but it sounds like you're from Texas... Have you seceded yet?

Ray, I believe that some folks would feel threatened by the approval of Brem. But it's probably folks like a certain female commenter on this board is most afraid of an approval. The reasons for her fear of Brem being approved are obvious.

I am of the opinion that the drug will not see much of a negative or objectionable push however. Since there is a severe shortage of psychotherapists in the US (60 Minutes story last night on adolescent psychotherapist shortfall), this is probably a non-issue.

If we go to war (again) and the partner countries in the middle east join us, the subject enemy will more than likely retaliate and hit the middle east partners in their wallets. The potential interruption of middle east oil is at stake. Domestic energy supply and assets will in turn be more valuable....

    1. Brem had excellent results in PH II trials
    2. PH III is required by FDA
    3. PTN has secured a partner for PH III in Europe

What can we surmise from the above?

    1. Brem will more than likely be funded by a third party for PH III in the US
    2. FDA approval is probable based on PH II data
    3. Shorts will continue to pepper this board with ambiguous comments that have no basis in fact
    4. Good luck and congratulations to all longs!!

Just put out the flaming short talk already... pullleeaase! Zippy is wrong again. PH III in the EU is the obvious first step in the strategy to get Brem on to the market. Using someone else's money is always preferable and that's what's happening here...Zippo, go back to school to learn proper English and math.

    Question for the Board

    by markitcorrect Sep 8, 2014 11:27 AM
markitcorrect markitcorrect Sep 9, 2014 11:54 AM Flag

Agreed on waiting for the CC. The other issue is about the strategy. I'm not aware about the differences in getting EU approval vs. FDA approval. But the strategy to do this in the EU first suggests that this is where Spana got the most interest in terms of partnering. My suspicion is that an EU approval for Brem, greases the skids for the FDA process (after some time to study the drug in the EU market).

  • markitcorrect markitcorrect Sep 9, 2014 11:50 AM Flag

More than likely, Bogota will need to go back to the drawing board on this strategy. When Brem is accepted in the EU, the path to FDA approval will be well-greased. Good luck to all longs!!

    Question for the Board

    by markitcorrect Sep 8, 2014 11:27 AM
markitcorrect markitcorrect Sep 8, 2014 4:21 PM Flag

Please re-read the question... If the company was NOT PTN (and the topic drug were BREM) and they had just announced their partnership for a PH III in the EU, what would you do... buy, sell or hold? The issue here is the company and its history. If this were a different company that had announced a partnership in the EU to take BREM to PH III trials (without the historical mishegas) the stock would have soared. But the permashorts that hang out here have decided that the PH III announcement for the EU was apparently short of what they were looking for.

To our other readers.....To the permashorts out there... GET REAL!!! THIS WAS HUGE NEWS and you just shrugged and sold. MORONS!!!!

    Question for the Board

The disdain for Spana is apparent on this board. I don't have a fine appreciation for his management style either. But the reason for the question was purely... if this were any other company, clear of any past delays, and this news came out... how high would the stock fly? My thoughts are that we ought to be back up around at least a buck and a half...

This is a question posing a "What If" Scenario....

What would your position (Buy, Sell, etc...) be if a big pharma company like Pfizer announced their partnership for an EU PH III?

Ray, it seems that PTN is not on the radar of many investors. They're a speck on the flea, on the Chihuahua's left ear. The news is not smallish. It's huge for PTN, but with so few analysts paying attention here, it's hard to stir up any excitement. I'm not concerned with the percentages of who's paying for PH III. The fact that there is a PH III for Brem anywhere in the world is great news. Once approved under the EU, the transfer to the US should be less onerous. I believe that this was Spana's strategy once he couldn't find funding in the US for PH III for FDA approval. $1.50 should be well in the rear-view mirror with an EU approval.
